Crossing Swords teaser previews Hulu’s new adult animated series

Hulu has released the first teaser for their upcoming adult animated stop-motion series titled Crossing Swords, featuring our first look at medieval comedy which stars Nicholas Hoult as good-hearted peasant named Patrick who suddenly gets caught up in the craziness of kingdom. The series will be available for streaming on June 12. Check out the video in the player below!

Crossing Swords follows the story of Patrick, a good hearted peasant who lands a coveted squire position at the royal castle. However, his dream job quickly turns into a nightmare when he learns his beloved kingdom is run by a hornet’s nest of horny monarchs, crooks and charlatans. Even worse, Patrick’s valor made him the black sheep in his family, and now his criminal siblings have returned to make his life hell. War, murder, full frontal nudity—who knew brightly colored peg people led such exciting lives?

The series will feature the voices of Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Great), Luke Evans (The Hobbit), Frank Welker (Scooby-Doo), Breckin Meyer (Robot Chicken), Tony Hale (Toy Story 4), Hynden Walch (Adventure Time), Adam Pally (Happy Endings), Adam Ray (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power), Grey Griffin (The Fairly OddParents, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Loud House) and Jessica DiCicco (Adventure Time).

Crossing Swords is created and executive produced by John Harvatine IV and Tom Root, who are known for their work on long-running stop-motion sketch comedy series Robot Chicken. The series is a production by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios.
