Eminem releases Venom soundtrack song on surprise album

Yesterday, Eminem snuck in a song from the Venom soundtrack on his surprise album “Kamikaze,” which was released unexpectedly yesterday. The rapper revealed a 15-second clip of the song on Twitter yesterday, followed by the album’s full release. The track, titled “Venom – Music From The Motion Picture,” includes quite a few references to the film’s plot. Tom Hardy will portray Eddie Brock/Venom on the big screen. Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, and Woody Harrelson co-star in the film. If the movie is successful, Sony plans to give films to other Spidey characters, with Jackpot, Black Cat, Kraven the Hunter and Silver Sable all candidates to get their own movie. Morbius the Living Vampire already has Jared Leto lined up for the title role.

Venom will hail from Sony’s Marvel Universe of characters and will not be a spinoff of the current Marvel Cinematic Universe, wherein Sony allows Spider-Man to be played by Tom Holland. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing along with Amy Pascal, with Palak Patel and Eric Fineman overseeing for Columbia Pictures.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad) and written by Scott Rosenberg (Pain & Gain, Jumanji) & Jeff Pinkner (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), the Venom film is set for an October 5, 2018 release date.

Tracey Ullman’s Show season 3 premiere set for September

HBO has announced that the Emmy nominated sketch comedy show, Tracey Ullman’s Show will be returning for a third season. The series will make it’s premiere on September 28. The series is also available on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand and partners’ streaming platforms.

During the newest season, star Tracey Ullman will reprise her signature roles of Dame Judi Dench, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Jerry Hall and introduces her takes on British Prime Minister Theresa May, French First Lady Brigitte Macron and U.S. First Lady Melania Trump.

Tracey Ullman arrived in United States almost 30 years ago on The Tracey Ullman Show, which also brought audiences America’s first family The Simpsons. The FOX show ran for four seasons and amassed some Emmys. Ullman moved to HBO where Tracey Takes On… ran for 47 episodes and garnered the comedy star six more Emmys.

Season 3 of Tracey Ullman’s Show will premiere at the Tribeca TV Festival and then a week later on the premium cable channel on September 28.

Empire debuts Bad Times at the El Royale covers

Empire Magazine has revealed their new covers for their fall movie preview featuring Drew Goddard’s new film Bad Times at the El Royale. Empire’s newsstand cover will showcase a neon design with stars Chris Hemsworth, Jeff Bridges, and Jon Hamm with the subscriber’s cover featuring a special pulp themed cover. Check them both out in the gallery below!

Bad Times at the El Royale takes place in the 1960s at a rundown hotel, centering on a cast of characters whose own shady agendas will violently collide: “Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption… before everything goes to hell.”

Alongside Chris Hemsworth (Avengers: Infinity War, Thor: Ragnarok), the film stars Jon Hamm (Mad Men, Tag), Jeff Bridges (The Big Lebowski, Kingsman: The Golden Circle), Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades series), Cynthia Erivo (Widows), Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) and Cailee Spaeny (Pacific Rim Uprising).

Bad Times at the El Royale serves as a reunion between Hemsworth and Goddard, who previously collaborated on the 2012 horror movie The Cabin in the Woods.

Bad Times at the El Royale is set to hit theaters on October 12.

Welcome back to Hogwarts in new Fantastic Beasts featurette

Welcome back to school Wizards! Warner Bros. has released a behind-the-scenes featurette of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The video contains candid interviews with Jude Law, Eddie Redmayne, and the creator herself J.K. Rowling. The Wizarding World is coming back soon as the new Harry Potter world film will be released in theaters November 16. Check out the featurette in the player below!

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the second of five all new adventures in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. The film stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamandar alognside returning stars Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, and Ezra Miller. They’re joined by Claudia Kim, Zoe Kravitz, Callum Turner,  with Jude Law as Dumbledore and Johnny Depp as the titular Grindelwald.

At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is being directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling, and produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram. The film will debut in theaters November 16, 2018.
