There’s been a lot of anticipation for the third installment in the Tom Holland-led Spider-Man franchise since the renewal of the deal between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. Actor Tom Holland recently confirmed that production on the project is set to begin in July!

While promoting his new Pixar adventure Onward with The Philippine Daily Inquirer, Holland ensured he didn’t break any spoilers as he’s been known to do with previous Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, but did reveal that the script is “absolutely insane” and will feature the return of Zendaya (Euphoria) as MJ.

Holland will return for the film as the titular wall crawler, and it remains to be seen what villains he’ll go up against in the trilogy caper. Given the ending of Far From Home however, any number of his rogues gallery are likely eager for a fight. Holland’s Spider-Man is also set to appear in another Marvel Studios film per the new agreement.

After scoring low reviews from critics and failing to find a place in audiences’ hearts, Netflix has chosen to axe the supernatural horror dramas October Faction and V Wars after only one season each, according to Deadline.

Based on the novel and graphic novel series of the same name from IDW Publishing, the Ian Somerhalder-led V Wars followed a doctor who enters a world of terror when a mysterious disease transforms his best friend into a vampire-like predator feeding on other humans. Society begins to split into opposing camps as the disease spreads and more people are transformed, with Somerhalder’s Dr. Luther Swann racing against time to find a cure while his best friend rises as the most powerful underground leader of the vampires.

The pilot for V Wars was directed by Brad Turner (24), who also executive produced the series alongside High Park’s Eric Birnberg and Thomas Walden, IDW Entertainment’s David Ozer and Ted Adams and Marada Pictures’ James Gibb, with William Laurin and Glenn Davis acting as showrunners.

Despite the cancellation, the streaming service and Somerhalder, who helmed an episode of the 10-episode sole season, are reportedly in talks to pursue other potential projects together.

The two must hid their identities as members of a secret organization from their kids and discover that the small-town isn’t as idyllic as it looks.

The series featured Damian Kindler as showrunner, executive producer and director of two of its ten episodes. Dwayne Johnson says Hobbs & Shaw sequel in development

After roaring its way to over $760 million at the global box office las summer, it was only a matter of time before Universal gave the greenlight to a sequel to Hobbs & Shaw, the Dwayne Johnson/Jason Statham-led Fast & Furious spin-off and the former has revealed that development is currently underway on the project. In an Instagram Live Q&A, The Rock confirmed that amidst his already busy upcoming schedule, it could soon be further occupied with another installment in the already well-received spin-off series.

We are developing now the next film, the next [Hobbs & Shaw] movie, and I’m pretty excited about it…Just gotta figure out the creative right now, and the direction we’re going to go,” Johnson said.

Purchase your copy of Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw here!

Given the film’s generally positive reviews and large box office gross, it was expected fans would be seeing another chapter of the action espionage hit and with screenwriter Chris Morgan and director David Leitch leaving multiple threads for the possible future, including the identity of Idris Elba’s Brixton’s boss, audiences were left with reasons to come back. Leitch and Morgan reportedly wanted Keanu Reeves (John Wick) for the role of Eteon corporation, so should a script be done in time for a gap in Reeves’ scheduling between the next John Wick and Matrix films, fans could look forward to an against-type character for the revitalized action hero.

In addition to Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, Vanessa Kirby (The Crown), Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver), Eddie Marsan and Idris Elba (The Dark Tower, Avengers: Infinity War) also star.

Directed by Deadpool 2‘s David Leitch, the film will follow Dwayne Johnson’s Diplomatic Security Service agent Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham’s assassin Deckard Shaw. The spin-off features a script from Chris Morgan, who has worked on the franchise since Tokyo Drift in 2006.

Ever since hulking lawman Hobbs (Johnson), a loyal agent of America’s Diplomatic Security Service, and lawless outcast Shaw (Statham), a former British military elite operative, first faced off in 2015’s Furious 7, the duo have swapped smack talk and body blows as they’ve tried to take each other down. But when cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton (Idris Elba) gains control of an insidious bio-threat that could alter humanity forever — and bests a brilliant and fearless rogue MI6 agent (The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby), who just happens to be Shaw’s sister — these two sworn enemies will have to partner up to bring down the only guy who might be badder than themselves.

Hobbs & Shaw blasts open a new door in the Fast universe as it hurtles action across the globe, from Los Angeles to London and from the toxic wasteland of Chernobyl to the lush beauty of Samoa.

Johnson produces alongside Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia through Seven Bucks Productions. Statham, Neal H. Moritz for Original Film and Chris Morgan for his eponymous production company also produce, with executive producers Kelly McCormick, Steve Chasman, Amanda Lewis, Ainsley Davies and Ethan Smith.
