Chris Pratt, James Gunn talk Ego the Living Planet in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
At San Diego Comic-Con, it was officially revealed that Star-Lord’s father in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is none other than comic book character Ego the Living Planet, set to be played by Kurt Russell in the film. Speaking with Empire, star Chris Pratt spoke about how Star-Lord will react to the news that his father is actually an enormous celestial body.
“You’re going to see these characters having to endure the realities of being in a family,” says Pratt. “You’re talking about a guy who’s been longing to know who his father is for a long time. He’ll discover if that person lives up to the expectations he has in his head.”
