Lisey’s Story was inspired by King’s own experience when he was involved in a serious accident in June 1999. The idea for the novel sprang from a sudden realization he had when he came home from the hospital and saw that all of his belongings are in boxes. Because of that, he saw a vision of what his studio would look like after his death.
Fast and Furious fans will remember Kang for his performance as Han, the ill-fated street racer who met his demise at the hands of Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw. The actor has also appeared in the TV series Hawaii Five-O, Magnum P.I., and Whiskey Cavlier.

Lisey’s Story will also be the third collaboration between King and Abrams, who have worked together on the 11.22.63 and the Hulu series Castle Rock which is returned for its second season on October 23.
