Jerry Seinfeld Would Fix Parts of Seinfeld but Has No Regrets

Seinfeld is a classic comedy show that will go down as one of the best television series to ever have been made. However, that doesn’t mean that creator Jerry Seinfeld wouldn’t change some things if he could.

Speaking during a press event for the premiere of the series on Netflix (via Deadline), Seinfeld noted that some aspects of the show likely haven’t aged well and that he would likely tweak some things if he had the chance.

“There’s a number of them that I would love to have a crack at, but I don’t really believe, philosophically, in changing or even thinking about the past,” Seinfeld said. “My philosophy of life is that [it] happened the way it happened, and we’re going to go from here. And that’s the best way to … live.

“I think regret is a philosophical position that I disagree with. It kind of assumes you could have changed the past, so I wouldn’t even think of that. But if you forced me or you gave me a time machine, yeah, there’s a few — I would fix some things.”

An Emmy and Golden Globe winner for Best Comedy Series, Seinfeld is one of the most popular, most award-winning, and longest-running comedy series of all time. Jerry Seinfeld stars as a stand-up comedian whose life in New York City is made even more chaotic by his quirky group of friends who join him in wrestling with life’s most perplexing, yet often trivial questions. Co-starring is Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Jerry’s ex-girlfriend and current platonic pal, Elaine Benes; Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Jerry’s neurotic hard-luck best friend; and Michael Richards as Jerry’s eccentric neighbor, Kramer.
