Sora is headed into the world of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as Nintendo announced that the character from the Kingdom Hearts franchise will finally be making his way into the game.

Fans have been waiting for some time for the iconic character to make his way into the world of Super Smash Bros., and now he’s finally here. In an extended trailer for the game, Sora makes a splashy entrance in front of the entire roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Sora will become available on October 18, 2021, when he’ll launch as part of the Challenger Pack 11 DLC. The pack includes a brand new stage and a selection of music tracks from the Kingdom Hearts franchise and will cost $5.99 on its own, or $29.99 as part of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2, which includes a variety of other characters.

Alongside the inclusion of Sora, new Mii Fighter costumes have also been added into the game, with the most notable being that of the Doom Slayer from the DOOM series. While it isn’t a true DLC character, fans who were hoping for “Doom Guy” to make his way into the series will at least be able to play in a costume of his.
