The Flash is still on track to release later this year, but a recent report from One Take News suggests that a new round of reshoots will begin soon.
The report came via a new tweet from the “Big Screen Leaks” Twitter account, who is the founder and editor-in-chief of One Take News. The tweet notes that the film will be undergoing “a few days of minor reshoots” sometime this month. A follow-up tweet mentions that these reshoots are not being done to change the ending, but instead just “to touch up some shots” in the film.
The mention of the film’s ending comes as rumors float that a variety of cameos from the upcoming film have been cut, namely those featuring Henry Cavill as Superman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. It’s currently unclear exactly what will and won’t be in the final film, however, so fans will have to wait until its release in June to find out more.
The film is set to star Ezra Miller, who is reprising their role as Barry Allen/The Flash after playing him in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, Justice League, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and in CW’s The Flash and Peacemaker Season 1.
The Flash is set to release in theaters on June 16, 2023. The movie is directed by IT‘s Andy Muschietti from the latest screenplay written by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey). It is being executive produced by Marianne Jenkins with Michael Disco and Barbara Muschietti set as producers.
