Dwayne Johnson Reveals Production on Black Adam Could Be Delayed

During a live Q&A session with fans, Dwayne Johnson shared that production on Black Adam is scheduled to begin this summer in July (via Joblo). Obviously, with the current pandemic, those plans could change should production be shut down or delayed.

“I’m very excited about Black Adam by the way, I’ve been training very, very hard for that role. We were supposed to start shooting it in the summer, in July, and we’ll see. I’m not quite too sure if it’s still gonna happen, or, at least, if we’ll still start shooting in July but it will all work out the way it’s meant to work out,” said Johnson.

Black Adam will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows, Jungle Cruise) with a screenplay by Adam Sztykiel (Rampage) based on the DC Comics character. The movie is currently set to arrive in theaters on December 22, 2021.

Johnson, who served as an executive producer on Warner Bros’ latest DC-superhero outing, has been slated to play Black Adam for some time, and though he wasn’t in Shazam!, his origin story was told by the wizard Shazam, played by Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy). The artist formally known as “The Rock” explained that while Black Adam was originally involved in the story of Shazam!, they decided to save his debut for a later film to let each character get some breathing room.

ComingSoon.net recommends all readers comply with CDC guidelines and remain as isolated as possible during this urgent time.

First 8 Minutes of Sonic the Hedgehog and Deleted Scene Are Now Online

Today is the day for Sonic fans as Sonic The Hedgehog is finally available on the digital market and you can pick up your copy here! In order to celebrate the official release, Paramount has debuted some interesting features from the movie. First, a deleted scene from the movie has made it to the web. The scene features a clean look at the old design of the iconic character before it underwent the redesign. In the brief clip, Sonic arrives on Earth together with Longclaw — who, by the way, never made it into the final version of the movie. Shortly after, the supersonic hedgehog nearly dies. The scene gives the idea why fans were so vocal about the changed design.

But the news doesn’t stop here, as Fandango has uploaded the first 8 minutes from the movie on its Youtube channel. You can check out the Sonic the Hedgehog deleted scene and the first 8 minutes from the movie in the player below.

Sonic the Hedgehog is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster video game franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.

Sonic the Hedgehog is now available on the digital market. What do you think about the Sonic the Hedgehog deleted scene? Would you have preferred if Longclaw made it to Earth? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Atari announces RPG twist on classic franchise PONG Quest

Looking to rival the success of former-owned publisher Namco’s Pac-Man World franchise, Atari has unveiled their role-playing game twist on an iconic franchise with PONG Quest, a new take on the classic tennis game with a story mode, online play and collectibles, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

PONG Quest will see players control a brave young personified version of the classic game’s paddle as they journey through various dungeons based on other Atari titles including AsteroidsCentipede and more, with the main quest featuring RPG battles that combine classic gameplay with a modern twist.

PONG as an RPG is something completely unexpected but wonderful in execution,” Jean-Marcel Nicolai, Atari’s chief operating officer, said. “We are thrilled to bring PONG Quest to life to honor the classic IP and bring the beloved gameplay to a new generation of players and RPG fans. Atari has a rich portfolio of titles, and exploring new ways to breathe new life into those IP yields exciting results.RELATED: New Predator: Hunting Grounds Gameplay Released for Trial WeekendIn addition to the story mode, the game with feature online multiplayer with up to three players, customization options for the paddles and more than 50 PONG ball power-ups that offer unique abilities.
