Stranger Things Season 5: Writing Begins on Final Season

It has been a month since Stranger Things successfully concluded its nine-episode fourth season, and now we finally got an update regarding the current progress of the sci-fi horror series’ forthcoming fifth season.

The Strangers Things writing team, which is led by creators Matt and Ross Duffer, took to Twitter to confirm that the scriptwriting process for the final episodes of the beloved Netflix series has officially begun.

The fifth season currently has no release date attached to it yet, but given that it’s still in the early stages of pre-production, fans might have to wait a while for the fan-favorite series to make its final return.

Stranger Things is set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. When a young boy vanishes, a small town uncovers a mystery involving secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces, and one strange little girl.

The series currently stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, and Brett Gelman.

Season 4 also introduced a number of new actors including Jamie Campbell Bower, Joseph Quinn, Eduardo Franco, Sherman Augustus, Mason Dye, Nikola Djuricko, Tom Wlaschiha, Myles Truitt, Regina Ting Chen, Grace Van Dien, Robert Englund, and Amybeth McNulty.

Stranger Things is created and executive produced by Matt and Ross Duffer, who also serve as showrunners. Executive producers are Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Iain Patterson.

All episodes of Season 4 are now available for streaming exclusively on Netflix.

Boruto and Kakashi witness two shopkeepers, Ohagi and Taruto, fighting. Yubeshi, Ohagi’s grandchild, explains the situation to them. They were arguing over the fireworks show. Kakashi agrees to help after Yubeshi shows him a first edition copy of Make-Out Tactics. Kakashi and Boruto visit Taruto’s shop. There, they learn that Ohagi and Taruto used to be close friends.

Later, Sabure tells Boruto and Kakashi how Ohagi and Taruto began fighting. Taruto used to be the only New City resident who would help with Old Town’s fireworks show. Eventually, New City wanted to have its own display, and they put Taruto in charge. Ohagi viewed Taruto as a traitor. Even so, Taruto wanted to apologize. Shortly after, Boruto and Kakashi call a meeting. During the meeting, Ohagi and Taruto argued even more. Eventually, Boruto asks Yubeshi and Sabure to bring out the food Ohagi and Taruto worked on together before.

However, seeing the food made them angrier. Plus, it will continue to be a problem for Yubeshi and Sabure’s marriage ceremony if their grandparents are still fighting. Kakashi arranges a way for them to settle the issue. On the day of the festival, both sides will have their fireworks display. They will display it at the same time, and then they can decide which is the best.

The festival begins, and both sides start their fireworks show. Old Town and New City people insult the other’s fireworks during the event. In the middle of it, Ohagi and Taruto ask to stop the show. It turns out Kakashi switched the fireworks. Everyone realizes all the presentations are beautiful either way. However, Ohagi and Taruto continue to argue. Yubeshi and Sabure get fed up and convince their grandfathers to make up. Ohagi and Taruto shake hands, and Yubeshi and Sabure finally get married.

Disney+ Schedule Additions: New TV & Movies Arriving August 1-7

Pixar Animation Studios’ latest movie is coming to Disney+ this week.

After concluding its theatrical run, Disney+ subscribers will get access to Lightyear starting Wednesday, Aug. 3. The Toy Story prequel follows the origin story of Buzz Lightyear, voiced by Avengers alum Chris Evans for the occasion. The cast also features Keke Palmer, Dale Soules, and Taika Waititi as a group of ambitious recruits. Meanwhile, Peter Sohn voices Buzz’s robot companion, Sox. Other cast members include Uzo Aduba, James Brolin, Mary McDonald-Lewis, as well as Efren Ramirez, and Isiah Whitlock Jr.

“The definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear, the hero who inspired the toy, Lightyear follows the legendary Space Ranger after he’s marooned on a hostile planet 4.2 million light-years from Earth alongside his commander and their crew,” says the official synopsis. “As Buzz tries to find a way back home through space and time, he’s joined by a group of ambitious recruits and his charming robot companion cat, Sox. Complicating matters and threatening the mission is the arrival of Zurg, an imposing presence with an army of ruthless robots and a mysterious agenda.”

Lightyear is a sci-fi action-adventure film that hails from director and veteran Pixar animator Angus MacLane (Finding Dory). Galyn Susman (Toy Story 4, Ratatouille) produced. Michael Giacchino is also serving as its composer.

One Piece Episode 1028 Release Date & Time on Crunchyroll

The One Piece Episode 1028 release date is upon us.

The latest installment saw the Worst Generation continue battling the Emperors. Zoro had to unleash Enma’s devastating power and use the Nine Sword Style to save Luffy from Emperor Kaidou’s assault. While the swordsman left a permanent scar on the Emperor in his half-dragon form, the effort was too much to handle for Zoro. His sacrifice wasn’t in vain, as it allowed Luffy to recover his energy and join the battle.

When to Watch One Piece Episode 1028

One Piece Episode 1028 will hit Crunchyroll at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on Saturday, Aug. 7. Directed by Yasunori Koyama and written by Shōji Yonemura, the next installment is called “Surpass the Emperor of the Sea! Luffy Strikes Back with an Iron Fist!” Judging from the promo, One Piece Episode 1028 will see the showdown between Luffy and Kaidou. Haoshoku Haki will play a pivotal role in the final battle as it had in Episode 1027. Interestingly, Kaidou hinted that also Zoro might have Haoshoku Haki after the swordsman scarred the Governor-General of the Beasts Pirates. When he heard that, Zoro looked very surprised and disagreed with Kaidou.

Mission: Impossible 8 Adds Nick Offerman and Janet McTeer

Following the recent casting of Mindhunter star Holt McCallany, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning director Christopher McQuarrie took to Twitter to confirm two more cast members who will be joining Tom Cruise in the eighth and final installment of the blockbuster spy action franchise.

Parks and Recreation vet Nick Offerman and Oscar nominee Janet McTeer (Tumbleweeds, Albert Nobbs) have officially boarded the project, with McQuarrie sharing the first look photos of their mysterious characters.

Joining Cruise and Hayley Atwell in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning are returning franchise alums Rebecca Ferguson (Doctor Sleep), Simon Pegg (Ready Player One), Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction), Vanessa Kirby (Hobbs & Shaw), and Henry Czerny (Ready or Not) along with newcomers Shea Whigham (Joker), Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Avengers: Infinity War) and Esai Morales (La Bamba, Titans) who will replace Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road) for the villain role.

Following the large critical and commercial success of the past two films, writer/director Christopher McQuarrie inked a deal with the studio to return to write and direct the next two installments.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Part Two will be released on July 14, 2023, and June 28, 2024, respectively.

The Mission: Impossible franchise spans almost 25 years and six films, starting off with modest critical and major box office success in the first two films before launching its lead protagonist into grittier and more explosive stories, each film getting progressively better reviews than its predecessor, with the most recent installment, Fallout, earning the highest reviews for both the franchise and the action genre, currently maintaining a 97% approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes while also acquiring the highest box office gross of the franchise at over $790 million worldwide.

Classroom of the Elite II Episode 5 Recap

Ayanokoji and Horikita discuss how Kushida could be the traitor. Ayanokoji says Kushida might be getting private points from other classes. While watching the others, Horikita confronts Kushida about the previous special exam. She asks Kushida if she revealed her VIP information to Ryuen. Kushida denies it, and the two agree to trust each other moving forward. The Sports Festival starts, and Sudo is doing his best to motivate everyone. Class D is initially doing well. However, Koenji refuses to participate, making Sudo angry. Ayanokoji overhears Koenji saying Horikita asked him to participate, but Koenji says he isn’t in the mood.

During the pole toppling event, many of the opponents target Sudo. Due to Ryuen’s dirty tricks, the Red Team (Class A and D) lose the game. Meanwhile, Horikita injures her ankle after accidentally bumping into Kinoshita from Class C. Ayanokoji checks on Horikita. Horikita tells him Kinoshita probably bumped into her on purpose. She reflects on her failures, especially after the incident with Koenji. In the other events, Class C continued to target Sudo and Horikita.

Karuizawa asks Ayanokoji about the situation. Ayanokoji explains the targeting, and how the traitor leaked the class participant list. Karuizawa asks if there’s still a chance for them to win. Ayanokoji says it was never their intention to win. Meanwhile, Sudo loses his temper in front of the class and storms off. Ayanokoji goes to Horikita. She already knows Ayanokoji will ask her to bring Sudo back. She doubts she can do it, but Ayanokoji reminds her she can’t be useless. He tells her Sudo will be a valuable weapon for her.

Karuizawa asks Ayanokoji who the traitor is, but Ayanokoji doesn’t say who. He tells them he’s just following Horikita’s instructions. Meanwhile, Horikita and Kushida head for the clinic. Kushida tells her Kinoshita is badly injured. Upon arrival, Horikita falls into Ryuen’s trap. He states Horikita injured Kinoshita on purpose and threatens to inform the school. In exchange for his silence, he demanded one million private points. Before he leaves, Ryuen says he’ll be waiting until the end of the festival.
