Full Frontal with Samantha Bee parodies Star Wars in a new promo
Back in March, it was revealed that longtime “The Daily Show” correspondent Samantha Bee would be getting her own series on TBS. Now the network has revealed a new promo for the show, parodying none other than Star Wars, which you can check out in the player below! Full Frontal with Samantha Bee will premiere in February 2016.
It’s still unclear what the series will be like once it premieres, but it has previously been described a late night series offering “a platform for Bee to apply her smart and satirical point of view to current and relevant issues.”
Bee began her career performing as a member of the all-female sketch comedy troupe The Atomic Fireballs. She joined “The Daily Show’s” “Best F#@king News Team” in 2003, serving longer than any other correspondent on the series.
In addition to her work on “The Daily Show,” Bee starred in the 2010 movie Coopers’ Christmas. She will be appearing in the Tina Fey/Amy Poehler comedy Sisters, slated for a December 18 release. Bee is currently writing a middle-grade novel for Farrar Straus Giroux. Her collection of personal essays, entitled “I Know I Am, But What Are You?,” was published in 2010 by Simon and Schuster.
