Titles arriving November 24 include American Ultra, Ricki and the Flash, Shaun the Sheep and lots more!
Welcome to ComingSoon.net’s look at all the top titles arriving this week on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD. Check out the gallery viewer below for a look at the major new releases, catalogue films and television collections hitting shelves and/or VOD beginning Tuesday, November 24, 2015.
There’s a number of recent big screen releases coming home this Thanksgiving week as November 24 delivers the intense stoner actioner American Ultra, starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart. You can also catch Pierce Brosnan, Owen Wilson and Lake Bell in the action thriller No Escape, laugh along with Aardman Animation’s Shaun the Sheep, and catch Meryl Streep as an aging rocker in Ricki and the Flash. Earlier this year, screenwriter Diablo Cody stopped by our own Most Craved studio to chat about the film. You can check out that episode right here.
Shaun the Sheep isn’t the only stop motion fare arriving November 24. Zeitgeist Films today offers a deluxe Quay Brothers Blu-ray set that includes not only the complete works of the stylish sibling animator pair, but also a new short film, “Quay,” directed by Christopher Nolan.
Timed to the Thanksgiving holiday, The Jim Henson company offers (on DVD only) their new telefilm, Turkey Hollow.
Shout! Factory has a double serving for horror fans November 24. Their Scream Factory label has special editions of both John Irvin’s 1981 horror thriller Ghost Story and the 1971 cult classic, Blood and Lace.
There’s also two new additions to The Criterion Collection November 24 with a new HD edition of D.A. Pennebaker’s immortal Bob Dylan doc Don’t Look Back and, on Blu-ray for the first time, Akira Kurosawa’s powerful 1952 drama Ikiru.
Kino Lorber has two interesting catalogue titles this week with the HD debut of John Ford 1937 The Hurricane and, arriving in 3-D, the 1961 Canadian horror feature The Mask.
On the small screen, November 24 brings us a Doctor Who Christmas Specials set that includes every Christmas special from the modern iteration of the long running British sci-fi series. There’s also, on DVD only, the complete third season of Inside Amy Schumer. If that’s enough Amy Schumer for you, this week also sees the release of her Live at the Apollo special via Digital HD.
Other major Digital HD releases this week include Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s animated feature Minions and Noah Baumbach’s indie comedy drama Mistress America.
