More than a decade after the hit series went off the air, NBC‘s Will & Grace may be betting a new lease on life. Created by David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, Will & Grace premiered in 1998 and ran for eight season (194 episodes). Eric McCormack and Debra Messing headlined the series as the title characters, best friends Will Truman and Grace Adler. Will was a gay lawyer while Grace was a straight designer. The series also prominently featured Sean Hayes as Jack McFarland, Will’s gay best friend, and Megan Mullally as Karen Walker, Grace’s assistant.
Plans for the new Will & Grace season appear to be quite nascent, but the original article suggests that a ten episode season is the current plan. What’s more, the new Will & Grace season won’t necessarily bring the show back to NBC. Netflix, which has already revived shows like The Killing and the upcoming Gilmore Girls, is mentioned as a distinct possibility.
