Amazon February 2017 movie and TV titles announced

The Amazon February 2017 titles have been announced for everything arriving on Prime Video and Amazon Video next month, along with notable highlights from Amazon Channels.

February brings two highly-anticipated Amazon Original Series and one critically-acclaimed Amazon Original Movie for Prime members to stream or download at no additional cost to their membership:

– Creative Galaxy Heart Day Special: The Amazon Original kid’s series is created by Angela Santomero –the season 2 special features the voices of “The Daily Show” correspondents Samantha Bee and Jason Jones as Arty’s parent, Lisa Loeb as ‘Melody,’ and Kira Gelineauas as ‘Epiphany.’ Epiphany plans to show her love with a performance on Groovopolis in honor of Heart Day, but accidentally ruins her costume right before the show. – The Collection S1: The Amazon Original drama series stars Richard Coyle and Mamie Gummer and is produced by Oliver Goldstick— the series chronicles a gripping family drama and entrepreneurial fable, set in a post-war Paris fashion house. (2/10/17)
– Author: JT Leroy Story: The Amazon Original Movie features Laura Albert and is directed by Jeff Feuerzeig — the documentary chronicles the life story behind literary persona JT LeRoy, the fictional writer created by American author Laura Albert. (2/16/17)

In addition to Amazon Original Series, licensed TV series coming to Prime Video next month include season four of FX’s hit drama series, The Americans and season one of crime drama series, The Tunnel. Additionally, children’s films like Care Bears Movie and Nuts!, and dramas like Into the Wild join existing films on Prime Video.

Amazon Video also welcomes a number of new titles available for purchase this month including films like, Doctor Strange starring Rachel McAdams and Benedict Cumberbatch, along with horror films like Legion and drama films like Desierto starring Gael García Bernal. Amazon Video brings the latest in TV with new episodes airing the day after broadcast for series like Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern season 20, Bates Motel season 5 and Dead Files season 10.

February is an exciting month for Amazon Channels. Prime members who sign up for Showtime through Amazon Channels can watch the early premiere of season 2 of Billions. On HBO, catch the return of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, and the premiere of the sixth and final season of Girls. Don’t miss HBO’s limited series Big Little Lies—Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Shailene Woodley are part of the star-studded cast bringing the best-selling book to life on February 19. Additionally, check out the first curated subscription by Amazon Channels, Anime Strike. This channel is devoted to serious anime, and has titles exclusively available here outside of Japan (like the new series Scum’s Wish).
