Human Cattle: Crazy Canadian cannibal horror movie releases first official teaser poster
The sloppy, sanguinary and generally awesomely unsavory cannibal horror subgenre tends to be associated with our friends over the pond in Italy. Classic films like The Man From Deep River, Cannibal Ferox, Cannibal Holocaust and other all hail from the land of pasta and opera, hence their sloppy, larger than life natures. And all of these films – even Eli Roth’s dopey but effectively revolting American rehash The Green Inferno – were filmed in exotic jungle locales.
But FX wizard Carlos (Female Werewolf) Henriques’ Human Cattle, a go-for-it cannibal survival gorefest co-directed by Night of the Living Dead Live producer Phil Pattison, is not Italian and was not filmed in the jungle. It’s Canadian. And it was filmed on a shoestring in the working class city of Hamilton, Ontario. And it’s crazier and bloodier than all those damned Italian shockers combined!
Synopsis: The Amazon is a beautiful place to visit but you wouldn’t want to die there! Three sexy teenagers take a fun-filled trip out to the Amazon for an exciting getaway filled with seductive pleasures and forbidden desires. Failing to hear the canoe tour guide’s (Mitch Markowitz, The Hilarious House of Frightenstein) warnings about the evils that lurk in the Jungle, they will now have to fight for survival against trigger-happy bounty hunters, blood-thirsty Cannibals and massive flesh-eating monsters.
Featuring gruesome gore and crazy creature work by Henriques’ The Butcher Shop FX Studio, Human Cattle is a non-stop, action-packed, all you can eat buffet! To get you stoked for this hoser horrorshow, we have your first look at the official teaser poster. Have a look below and let us know if Human Cattle makes you hungry!
