Tiffany Haddish’s Limited Partners to film this fall for Paramount
Deadline is reporting that Tiffany Haddish’s Limited Partners, the new comedy from Paramount Pictures will go into production in October from director Miguel Arteta (Getting On, The Good Girl). The studio reportedly won out against other Haddish led projects that were vying to be filmed last this year.
Written by Sam Pitman and Adam Cole-Kelly, Limited Partners is a friendship comedy about two hard-charging best girlfriends who build a juggernaut company and find their relationships tested when they are made a big buyout offer. Suddenly all the differences that made them perfect odd couple partners put them at war, threatening their business and personal relationships. The outlet notes that the premise has shades of Superbad meets Bridesmaids.
Peter Principato, Itay Reiss, and Joel Zadak will produce through Artists Firsts. Haddish serves as executive producer and also helped to develop the script with Paramount.
Warner Bros and Sony were among the studios who made bids for Haddish. Warner Bros.’ Bobby Sue was one of the possible projects, a comedy that was originally developed for Cameron Diaz.
Besides her role in the television series The Last O.G. alongside Tracy Morgan, Haddish can next be seen starring alongside Kevin Hart in the comedy Night School, releasing in theaters on September 28, 2018.
