FOX to develop Elizabeth Banks’ comedy series Patty’s Auto
Deadline reports that FOX is currently in the process of developing a multi-camera sitcom titled Patty’s Auto. The series is co-created by Emmy nominated actress Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman along with The Big C creator Darlene Hunt.

Patty’s Auto is inspired by Patrice Banks’ Girls Auto Clinic. It follows the story of a Pennsylvania-based auto repair shop with all female mechanics. It centers on Patty and the eclectic women who work for her. The series is written by Hunt who will also serves as executive producer along with Banks and Handelman through their Brownstone Productions banner. Banks will also become the series’ consulting producer.
Banks is best known for her roles in films such as: the comedy musical Pitch Perfect franchise which she has made her directorial debut for the film’s sequel; and in the sci-fi dystopian film The Hunger Games trilogy starring alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. She is also busy with other projects like the Charlie’s Angels reboot film which she will star, produce and direct; and the Queen for a Day remake which she will also star and produce for Paramount Players. Charlie’s Angels is currently in production and is slated to premiere in September 2019.
