FXX has bumped Archer season 11 premiere date
Amidst the global coronavirus pandemic, FXX has elected to movie its premiere for the upcoming eleventh season of the animated spy comedy Archer from its original May 6 date to a currently unscheduled time, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Archer becomes the second FX Networks series to be hit with a delayed premiere date after it was announced recently that the long-awaited fourth season of the Noah Hawley-created crime drama Fargo would be pushed back from its April 19 premiere as production was unable to finish. FXX announced in a statement that “production challenges and scheduling issues” were the reason as to why its premiere date would be postponed.
Archer is FXX’s Emmy Award-winning, animated comedy that, in its tenth season, centers around the spaceship M/V Seamus as Archer, Lana, and the rest of the crew explore deep space and try to outsmart space princes, intergalactic pirates and vicious bounty hunters.
The past few seasons of the series have seen the characters in different timelines including a 1947-set noir mystery entitled Dreamland, a 1938-set treasure-hunting adventure entitled Danger Island and the most-recent space-set 1999, as the titular spy was left in a coma after being shot in the stomach in the seventh season finale. The tenth season finale saw the hit spy finally awake from his coma, only to learn it’s been three years and the world has begun to move on from him, but that his antagonistic mother, Malory, remained by his side for every day during his coma.
The series is created by Reed and led by a voice cast featuring H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Chris Parnell, Amber Nash and Lucky Yates, and is executive produced by Matt Thompson.
