ROOM 104 (Anthology Series)
Set in a single room of a typical American chain motel, this anthology series tells different stories of the assorted characters who pass through it. From creators and executive producers Mark and Jay Duplass, episodes range from comedy to drama to horror.

LOVECRAFT COUNTRY (Drama Series)
From showrunner and executive producer Misha Green and based on the novel of the same name by Matt Ruff, this series follows Atticus Freeman (Jonathan Majors) as he journeys with his childhood friend Letitia (Jurnee Smollett) and his uncle George (Courtney B. Vance) on a road trip from Chicago across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father Montrose (Michael Kenneth Williams). Their search-and-rescue turns into a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and monstrous creatures that could be ripped from an H.P. Lovecraft paperback.
The cast includes Jurnee Smollett, Jonathan Majors, Aunjanue Ellis, Abbey Lee. Jada Harris, Wunmi Mosaku, and Michael Kenneth Williams. Recurring guests include Courtney B. Vance, Jamie Chung, Jamie Neumann, Jordan Patrick Smith, and Tony Goldwyn.
Lovecraft Country is executive produced by Misha Green, J.J. Abrams, Jordan Peele, Bill Carraro, Yann Demange, Daniel Sackheim, and David Knoller (executive producer on Episode 1); based on the novel by Matt Ruff. Produced by afemme, Inc., Bad Robot Productions and Monkeypaw Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The series will debut on August 16; Finale airs October 18.
WE ARE WHO WE ARE (Drama Series)
Academy Award-nominated Luca Guadagnino brings his unique cinematic style to television for the first time with this eight-episode series. A story about two American kids who live on a U.S. military base in Italy, the series explores friendship, first-love, and identity, and immerses the audience in all the messy exhilaration and anguish of being a teenager – a story which could happen anywhere in the world, but in this case, happens in this little slice of America in Italy. The series was an official selection of the 2020 Cannes Film Festival Directors’ Fortnight.
The series stars Chloë Sevigny, Jack Dylan Grazer, Alice Braga, Jordan Kristine Seamón, Kid Cudi, Faith Alabi, Spence Moore II, Francesca Scorsese, Ben Taylor, Corey Knight, Tom Mercier, and Sebastiano Pigazzi.
The series is an HBO-Sky co-production; showrunner, executive producer, writer, director Luca Guadagnino; executive produced by Lorenzo Mieli for The Apartment and Mario Gianani for Wildside, both Fremantle companies, with Small Forward, alongside Guadagnino, Elena Recchia, Nick Hall, Sean Conway, and Francesco Melzi d’Eril; Paolo Giordano and Francesca Manieri write alongside Guadagnino. International Distributor: Fremantle. The series will debut on September 14.
THE THIRD DAY (Limited Series)
Told over the first three episodes, “Summer” stars Jude Law as Sam, a man who is drawn to a mysterious Island off the British coast where he encounters a group of islanders set on preserving their traditions at any cost. “Winter” unfolds over the latter three episodes and stars Naomie Harris as Helen, a strong-willed outsider who comes to the island seeking answers, but whose arrival precipitates a fractious battle to decide its fate.
The limited series stars Jude Law, Naomie Harris, Katherine Waterston, Emily Watson, and Paddy Considine. The Third Day is a co-production between Sky and HBO. It is the first original drama to be produced by Sky’s new production house, Sky Studios, in conjunction with Plan B Entertainment, the world-renowned immersive theatre company Punchdrunk and Dennis Kelly (Utopia, Pulling). Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Felix Barrett, and Dennis Kelly executive produce. Debuts September 14.
COASTAL ELITES (Special)
Produced entirely under quarantine, this brand-new special, features an all-star cast playing characters from New York to Los Angeles coping with politics and the pandemic. The special tells stories of breaking down and breaking through that are funny, searing, poignant and now.
The special stars Bette Midler, Kaitlyn Dever, Dan Levy, Sarah Paulson, and Issa Rae. Written by Paul Rudnick; Directed by Jay Roach; Executive producers, Paul Rudnick, Jay Roach, Jeffrey Seller, Flody Suarez, Scott Chaloff, and Michelle Graham. The special will debut on September 2020.
THE UNDOING (Limited Drama Series)
The six-part limited series stars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant as Grace and Jonathan Fraser who are living the only lives they ever wanted for themselves. Overnight a chasm opens in their lives: a violent death and a chain of terrible revelations. Left behind in the wake of a spreading and very public disaster and horrified by the ways in which she has failed to heed her own advice, Grace must dismantle one life and create another for her child and her family.
The limited series stars Nicole Kidman, Hugh Grant, Edgar Ramirez, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Matilda De Angelis, Lily Rabe, Noma Dumezweni, Noah Jupe, Sofie Gråbøl and Donald Sutherland.

HIS DARK MATERIALS (Drama Series)
In Season 2, Lord Asriel has opened a bridge to a new world, and, distraught over the death of her best friend, Lyra follows Asriel into the unknown. In a strange and mysterious abandoned city she meets Will, a boy from our world who is also running from a troubled past. Lyra and Will learn their destinies are tied to reuniting Will with his father but find their path is constantly thwarted as a war begins to brew around them. Meanwhile, Mrs. Coulter searches for Lyra, determined to bring her home by any means necessary.
Series regulars include Dafne Keen, Ruth Wilson, Lin-Manuel Miranda, James McAvoy, Clarke Peters, James Cosmo, Anne-Marie Duff, Will Keen, and Ariyon Bakare. Voice cast includes Helen McCrory, David Suchet, Cristela Alonzo, Kit Connor, Brian Fisher, and Joe Tandberg.

THE PERFECT WEAPON (Documentary)
Based on a best-selling book by New York Times national security correspondent David E. Sanger, The Perfect Weapon explores the rise of cyber conflict as the primary way nations now compete with and sabotage one another. As fear mounts about how potential cyberattacks will affect 2020 elections in the U.S., the film features interviews with top military, intelligence and political officials and includes on-the-ground reporting from the frontlines of the cyber wars.

AMERICAN UTOPIA (Special)
HBO will present the filmed version of the acclaimed Broadway show “David Byrne’s American Utopia,” directed by Academy Award-winning director Spike Lee. David Byrne’s American Utopia is a unifying musical celebration that inspires audiences to connect to each other and to the global community. This one-of-a-kind, dynamic film gives audiences around the world access to Byrne’s electrifying Broadway show that played to sold-out, record-breaking audiences during its run from October 2019 to February 2020 at Broadway’s Hudson Theater.

BETWEEN THE WORLD AND ME (Special)
Based on Ta-Nehisi Coates’ #1 New York Times bestseller and originally adapted and staged by the Apollo Theater, the special will combine elements of that production, including powerful readings from Coates’ book, and will be directed by award-winning director and Apollo Theater Executive Producer Kamilah Forbes. Forbes, Ta-Nehisi Coates, and Susan Kelechi Watson are also executive producers. Oscar-winning filmmaker Roger Ross Williams is producing. It will also incorporate documentary footage from the actors’ home life, archival footage, and animation.

Acting as both cameraman and narrator, John covertly documents the lives of fellow New Yorkers in a comic odyssey of self-discovery, inevitably making the audience comfortable with the awkward contradictions of modern life.

THE ART OF POLITICAL MURDER (Documentary)
Based on Francisco Goldman’s book of the same name and executive produced by Oscar-winner George Clooney and Grant Heslov, this film tells the story of the 1998 murder of Guatemalan human rights activist Bishop Juan Gerardi, which stunned a country ravaged by decades of political violence. Just two days after presenting a damning report blaming the atrocities of the civil war on the Guatemalan military, Bishop Gerardi was found dead in his home. Fearing a cover-up, the church assembles a team of young investigators to take on the case. They begin to unearth a web of conspiracy and murder, entangling the upper echelons of the government.

BABY GOD (Documentary)
This film is a shocking examination of the work of a Las Vegas fertility specialist, the late Dr. Quincy Fortier, who assisted hundreds of couples struggling with difficulty conceiving and the many women he guided to pregnancy through the use of his own sperm without their knowledge or consent. The documentary follows several of his offspring as they grapple with new information about their origins, the scope of Fortier’s misdeeds, and the impact his genes have on how they view their own identities. CRAZY, NOT INSANE (Documentary)
Why do we kill? Why do some of us kill, and others resist the temptation? What makes a serial killer? Dr. Dorothy Otnow Lewis, a psychiatrist who’s worked with numerous serial killers, including Ted Bundy, has been looking to answer these questions for decades. Her controversial work with “multiples,” patients with Dissociative Identity Disorder, led her to develop a unified field theory of what makes a killer. Her research videotapes – which are shown here for the first time – show eerie transformations in violent individuals as they move from character to character. This film is directed and produced by Academy Award winner Alex Gibney (HBO’s “The Inventor: Out For Blood In Silicon Valley,” “Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief”).
