Soderbergh, Kravitz & HBO Max teaming for thriller KIMI
With two projects already tied his overall deal with the streaming service, Steven Soderbergh is expanding his slate at HBO Max as he has signed on to helm the New Line Max Original thriller KIMI with Zoe Kravitz (The Batman) set to star, according to Deadline.

The film, penned by David Koepp (You Should Have Left), centers on an agoraphobic tech worker who discovers recorded evidence of a violent crime during a data stream review and after being hit with resistance and bureaucracy from her company’s change of command, she determines to combat her fears in order to get involved. In addition to penning the film, Koepp is set to produce the project alongside Michael Polaire (The Knick).
KIMI will mark the third project has attached himself to with the streaming service and studio, with his first being the Meryl Streep-starring dramedy Let Them Talk that debuted to rave reviews in December and the second being his ensemble thriller No Sudden Move, which wrapped production in November and will include Don Cheadle (Avengers: Endgame), Benicio Del Toro (Sicario), David Harbour (Stranger Things), Amy Seimetz (She Dies Tomorrow), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Ray Liotta (Goodfellas), Kieran Culkin (Succession), Brendan Fraser (Trust), Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place Part II), Bill Duke (Commando), Frankie Shaw (SMILF), Julia Fox (Uncut Gems) and Matt Damon (Ford v. Ferrari).

The film will also mark the latest title Kravitz has partnered with WarnerMedia for as she is currently filming Matt Reeves’ The Batman as Catwoman, which is slated for a March 2022 release, and starred in both seasons of the acclaimed drama thriller series Big Little Lies at HBO.
