According to a report from Variety, Diane Ademu-John will join the prequel series as writer, showrunner, and executive producer of Dune: The Sisterhood. Jon Spaihts was initially attached to run the series but stepped down in November 2019 in order to focus on writing the script for a second Dune reboot film.

Dune: The Sisterhood will be set in the universe of Frank Herbert’s epic Dune novel series, and is told through the eyes of a mysterious order of women known as the Bene Gesserit. Armed with extraordinary abilities, this group of women weaves through the feudal politics of Dune, pursuing their own plans that ultimately lead them to the enigmatic planet Arrakis, and the events of the upcoming film.
