Annapurna Interactive isn’t a big console manufacturer, but that doesn’t mean it can’t have its own Direct-like presentation. The small game publisher held a showcase on July 29 with tons of updates on its games. Here’s everything that happened in the July 29 Annapurna Interactive showcase.
The Artful Escape
The Artful Escape is a music-focused journey is coming from Australian team Beethoven and Dinosaur. This previously announced game got a new trailer, which revealed the cast. It stars Hollywood talent like Michael Johnston, Caroline Kinley, Mark Strong, Lena Heady, Carl Weathers, and Jason Schwartzman. It’s coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and will also be on Game Pass on September 9.
Neon White
This previously announced “single-player speedrunning FPS” called Neon White is designed around giving up guns in order to access more parkour moves. Players play as a dead assassin as they speed through levels, shooting or tossing away guns along the way. It’s coming from Ben Esposito, the mind behind Donut County.
Outer Loop Partnership
Falcon Age developer Outer Loop seems to making an unnamed skateboarding game with Annapurna Interactive. Not much was shown about the title, but it will try to tackle “immigrant culture growing up in the U.S.”
A Memoir Blue
The new game reveal for Memoir Blue describes the title a “journey into the depths of memory.” This short trailer from Taiwanese studio Cloisters shows a 3D and 2D world about a mother and daughter. It’s coming Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC through Steam, and iOS at some unknown date.
Jessica Mak Partnership
Jessica Mak is making a new game with Annapurna Interactive and like one of her previous games, Sound Shapes, it will be based around music. She wants it to be an “engaging experience, but not an addictive experience.”
Storyteller
Storyteller, as its name implies, lets players make their own story by moving the characters around. Players will be the author in this unique 2D game. It is coming “soon” to Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam. The demo is out now on Steam.
Solar Ash
Solar Ash, the previously revealed PS4, PS5, and Epic Games Store title, just got a quick trailer to reveal its release date: October 26, 2021.
Ivy Road Partnership

Davey Wreden, who helped create the beloved Stanley Parable, and Karla Zimonja, co-creator of Gone Home and Tacoma, both made a studio called Ivy Road and will be working with Annapurna on an “unannounced game [they] can’t talk about yet.” Daniel Rosenfeld, composer of Minecraft, will also be making the music.
Skin Deep
This update to the unique first-person shooter Skin Deep got a new trailer.
The Pathless
Giant Squid’s PS5 launch title (that was also on the Epic Games Store and PS4) The Pathless is now coming to Steam on November 16.
What Remains of Edith Finch
The well-regarded narrative title What Remains of Edith Finch is release on iOS App Store on August 16.
I Am Dead
The quirk puzzle adventure game I Am Dead is hitting PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on August 9.
Game Pass Updates
Sam Barlow’s well-received deduction FMV game Telling Lies and puzzler Gorogoa are coming to Game Pass “soon.”
Stray
Stray, the cat game that was unveiled at Sony’s PS5 reveal event, got a full gameplay walkthrough. Players have to use the environment to the advantage as well as the cat’s, well, catlike abilities. The feline also gets access to a drone named B-12 (likely named after the studio, BlueTwelve Studio) to help them communicate with others. There will also be moments where the cat is prey or the predator, depending on what gadgets they have. It’s coming to PS4, PS5, and PC via Steam in early 2022.

Observation developer No Code is working with Annapurna on its next unnamed title. The studio has doubled in size to create this horror game.
Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eye
Creative Director Alex Beachum officially announced a new (and its only) expansion for The Outer Wilds, which was leaked in April. Echoes of the Eye will fit in with the game’s world and narrative come to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 28.
