Following weeks of rumors on how long Martin Scorsese’s new movie would be, the director has finally locked in the Killers of the Flower Moon runtime on the feature.
According to a report from Deadline, the final Killers of the Flower Moon runtime of the film will come in at 3 hours and 26 minutes, which is under the reported time of 3 hours and 54 minutes that popped up over the weekend from Canne Film Festival director Thierry Fremaux.
Although it isn’t the four-hour epic that many had been anticipating, Killers of the Flower Moon still features a significantly long runtime for modern-day films. Last year saw the release of a few notable three-plus hour movies, including RRR, Avatar: The Way of Water, and Babylon.
Killers of the Flower Moon once again reunites Scorsese with long-time collaborators Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. Joining them are Oscar-winning actor Brendan Fraser, Jesse Plemons, Lily Gladstone, Tantoo Cardinal, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Louis Cancelmi, William Belleau, Tatanka Means, Michael Abbott Jr., Pat Healy, Scott Shepherd, and more.
The film is being directed and produced by Scorsese from a screenplay he co-wrote with Eric Roth. It is a production by Apple Studios, Imperative Entertainment, and Appian Way Productions, with Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas.
