Many works of fiction portray the Norse god Thor as a large, formidable man, but not Tiny Thor. This retro 16-bit platformer from Asylum Square shows the mythological character as a child, as shown by its launch trailer.
Tiny Thor uses mini-Mjölnir to bash foes and solve puzzles
Tiny Thor is out now on PC for $19.99 and will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch sometime in the summer. Tiny Thor Ragnarok n’ Roll Edition is a $25 special edition that comes with the soundtrack. Both versions will be 10% off for the launch week.
As shown by the trailer, Tiny Thor uses his mini-Mjölnir to slay enemies and solve certain puzzles across the realms and through its 30 levels. It also flies around and ricochets off objects like its bigger counterpart in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Asylum Square co-founder Jochen Heizmann expressed his excitement for the game’s release.
“We’re so thrilled to finally be launching Tiny Thor on PC!” said Heizmann. “We’ve worked hard to craft something truly wonderful, and couldn’t be happier to finally share it with players. We want to thank everyone for their support with our demo, and can’t wait to hear what they have to say once they finally experience the entire game starting today for PC and on Nintendo Switch soon as well!”
