Agatha Christie’s Ordeal By Innocence trailer released

The official trailer for the Amazon Prime original limited series, Ordeal By Innocence, has been released. Based on the novel of the same name by the world’s bestselling novelist of all time, Agatha Christie, Ordeal By Innocence will serve as the first of three series adaptations from Agatha Christie Limited for Prime Video in the U.S. Check out the trailer now in the player below, as well as new key art and photos in the gallery!

In Ordeal By Innocence, old wounds are reopened for the Argyll family when a man suddenly turns up and claims that the black sheep of the family, Jack Argyll, could not have murdered its tyrannical matriarch — for which he was accused just one year earlier. The family must come to terms with Jack’s innocence and with the fact that one of them may be the real murderer.

Adapted by Sarah Phelps (The Casual Vacancy, The Crimson Field), Ordeal by Innocence features an ensemble cast that includes Bill Nighy (Love Actually), Anthony Boyle (The Lost City of Z), Anna Chancellor (The Hour), Morven Christie (The A Word), Crystal Clarke (Assassin’s Creed), Christian Cooke (The Promise), Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness), Matthew Goode (The Good Wife), Ella Purnell (Sweetbitter), Eleanor Tomlinson (Poldark), and Luke Treadaway (Fortitude).

The drama series is produced by Mammoth Screen and Agatha Christie Limited for the BBC One in the UK. Sarah Phelps executive produces along with Karen Thrussell, Damien Timmer, and Helen Ziegler for Mammoth Screen. James Prichard and Basi Akpabio executive producer for Agatha Christie Limited alongside Gaynor Holmes for BBC.

Directed by Sandra Goldbacher (Victoria, The Hour) and produced by Roopesh Parekh (And Then There Were None), Ordeal By Innocence will launch on Amazon Prime Video on August 10, 2018.
