Jeff Bridges revives The Dude for Super Bowl commercial
Is The Dude poised to make a comeback? Jeff Bridges, the actor who brought the world’s most famous White Russian connoisseur to life in 1998’s The Big Lebowski, posted a video to Twitter here he appears as the character — sweater and all — with the very Dude-like caption “Can’t be living in the past, man. Stay tuned.”

Bridges doesn’t say anything in the 15-second clip, but he does glance at the camera over his sunglasses as he lets out a chuckle with Bob Dylan’s “The Man in Me” plays in the background. Then, a lone tumbleweed rolls across the frame with the date ‘2.3.19.’
Before anyone gets too excited about the notion of a sequel, something Coen brothers seem adamantly opposed to, that is the date of this year’s Super Bowl. Meaning it could just be a commercial that will feature El Duderino (if you’re not into the whole brevity thing). Although, in these strange times, who knows what it could all be leading to?
After all, John Turturro is resurrecting Jesus for his latest directorial effort Going Places — which seems to indicate that literally anything is possible. We’ll have to wait until February 3 to find out.
