Truth Be Told featurette highlights Octavia Spencer’s Poppy Parnell
Apple TV+ has released the first-look featurette for their upcoming drama series Truth Be Told. The video features interviews by the cast talking about Oscar winner Octavia Spencer‘s character Poppy Parnell as she tries to find the truth. Also starring Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) and Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex). Check out the video in the player below!

In Truth Be Told (formerly titled as Are You Sleeping), When new evidence compels podcaster Poppy Parnell to reopen the murder case that made her a national sensation, she comes face to face with Warren Cave, the man she may have mistakenly helped to put behind bars. Her investigation navigates urgent concerns about privacy, media and race.
The series will be led by Octavia Spencer (The Shape of Water, The Help) as Poppy Parnell, Aaron Paul as Warren Cave and Lizzy Caplan in dual roles as twin sisters Josie and Lanie Burhman. It will also feature Ron Cephas Jones (This Is Us) as Shreve Scoville, Elizabeth Perkins (Sharp Objects) as Melanie Cave, Mekhi Phifer (ER) as Markus Knox, Michael Beach (Sons of Anarchy) as Ingram Rhoades, Tracie Thoms (Rent) as Desiree Scoville, and Haneefah Wood (One Day at a Time) as Cydie Scoville.

The 10-episode thriller-drama series is written and executive produced by Nichelle Tramble Spellman (The Good Wife), who will also serve as showrunner. Along with Tramble, Truth Be Told will be executive produced by Octavia Spencer’s Orit Entertainment, Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter’s Hello Sunshine, and Chernin Entertainment which is headed up by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kristen Campo.
Based on Kathleen Barber’s novel Are You Sleeping, the series will be making its debut on December 6, exclusively on Apple TV+.
