Loki & The Falcon and the Winter Soldier might resume production
Following yesterday’s news that WandaVision is reportedly set to resume their filming next month for the reshoots, Liz Hill took to Twitter (via Comic Book Movie) to reveal that production might also restart for Disney+’s other two highly-anticipated MCU series: Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. This revelation comes after over two months since production was halted on both shows.
We were all excited by recent news Paul Bettany had to cancel a July comiccon due to WandaVision filming. I’ve just learned that #Loki and #FalconAndtheWinterSoldier are also expected to continue filming in July. This is a new source for me & I must keep it anon but I believe it! pic.twitter.com/nayj453ZaI

If this will be proven true, it’s understandable that Disney is trying their best to get everything back in motion as pressure to offer new content to its Disney+ subscribers increases, especially during this time of home quarantine. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision are both reportedly scheduled to make their respective debuts on August and December of this year.

Loki will feature the return of Golden Globe winner Tom Hiddleston as the fan-favorite mischievous titular villain. Hiddleston last portrayed the God of Mischief in last year’s highest-grossing film of all time Avengers: Endgame, where he successfully had stolen the Tesseract during Iron Man and Ant Man’s failed attempt to retrieve it. Joining Hiddleston are MCU newcomers Sophia Di Martino (Yesterday, Flowers, Into the Badlands), Oscar nominee Owen Wilson (The Royal Tenenbaums), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Black Mirror: San Junipero), Cailey Fleming (The Walking Dead), and Richard E. Grant (Can You Ever Forgive Me?) with Di Martino rumored to play Lady Loki.
Kevin Feige previously shared that the Loki series along with Elizabeth Olson and Paul Bettany’s WandaVision will tie into Marvel Studios’ highly-anticipated sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, he didn’t confirm whether or not Hiddleston will also be making an appearance in the Doctor Strange sequel.

John Wick creator Derek Kolstad joined the writing/creative team of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, though details are still under wraps, it seems likely to follow up on Falcon’s new status quo after Avengers: Endgame.
Anthony Mackie (Point Blank) and Sebastian Stan (I, Tonya) will be reprising their roles as Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes. Joining them are MCU veterans Daniel Bruhl and Emily VanCamp, who are set to return as Helmut Zemo and Sharon Carter, respectively. Neither character has appeared onscreen since 2016’s Captain America: Civil War.
During the Marvel Studios panel at D23 Expo 2019, it was revealed that Wyatt Russell (Lodge 49, Black Mirror) has joined the series for the role of Marvel Comics character U.S. Agent. Miki Ishikawa (The Terror: Infamy), Desmond Chiam (Now Apocalypse), Carl Lumbly (Doctor Sleep, Supergirl) and Noah Mills (The Enemy Within) have also been cast for the series.
