Crossovers: 15 MORE actors who appeared in Marvel & DC movies
Last year, we published a piece about crossovers between actors in Marvel Studios and DC Comics movies. A lot of our readers chimed in with actors we overlooked, and in that time several prominent performers have joined the ranks of playing characters from both universes. Check out the new crossovers piece in out gallery below!

One of the main reasons we decided to do another feature was our delight that Michael Keaton was returning to the superhero world this summer with Spider-Man: Homecoming. We thought Keaton was too busy making Oscar-bait movies like Birdman, Spotlight and the McDonald’s biopic The Founder to go back to the superhero world. Those who like their prestige Keaton can enjoy his energetic performance as the devious businessman Ray Kroc in The Founder on the new Blu-ray which came out this week. Click here to order The Founder on Blu-ray, although unfortunately you can’t Super-Size It for $2 more.
Were there any other Marvel/DC crossover actors we overlooked after this piece and the last one? Let us know in the comments below!
Michael Keaton – Batman (1989) / Batman Returns (1992) / Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Keaton starred in a few Oscar winners (Spotlight, Birdman) and many assumed he was now "too good" to go back to the superhero genre he helped define in Tim Burton's Batman movies. WRONG. Keaton will play The Vulture in this summer's new Spider-Man flick, proving it's never too late to return to the comic book world.
Doug Jones – Batman Returns (1992) / Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007)
Guillermo del Toro's go-to guy to slap monster make-up on got to be an evil mime in Batman Returns (the one that put the control device in the Batmobile). Years later he did all the physical acting for the Silver Surfer in the second FF movie.
Jon Favreau – Batman Forever (1995) / Daredevil (2003) / Iron Man (2008-present)
The future director of the first two Iron Man movies (and onscreen portrayer of Happy Hogan) had a blink-and-you'll-miss-it role in Joel Schumacher's campy Batman Forever during the scene where Bruce Wayne meets Edward Nigma. He later played Matt Murdock's legal partner Foggy Nelson in the Daredevil movie, and continues playing Happy Hogan in this summer's Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Halle Berry – X-Men (2000-2014) / Catwoman (2004)
Oscar winner Halle Berry played the mutant Storm in four X-Men movies, most recently in the hit X-Men: Days of Future Past. However, she slummed it in borderline-lingerie as Patience Phillips/Catwoman in that character's disastrous solo film, earning a Razzie Award (which she personally accepted) in the process.
Chin Han – The Dark Knight (2008) / Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
This Singaporean actor was most recently seen in the comic book movie Ghost in the Shell, but he first caught our eye as a Chinese businessman with mob ties named Lau in The Dark Knight. He later played a member of the S.H.I.E.L.D security council named Yen in The Winter Soldier.
Joshua Harto – The Dark Knight (2008) / Iron Man (2008)
Here's a first for this list: An actor who appeared in a DC and Marvel film in the same summer! He played the duplicitous accountant who tried to blackmail Bruce Wayne in The Dark Knight, then he played a CAOC Analyst in the first Iron Man. He briefly reprised the role (uncredited) in Iron Man 3 as well.
David Dastmalchian – The Dark Knight (2008) / Ant-Man (2015)
Dastmalchian went from being a member of The Joker's gang to a member of Scott Lang's. He played a memorable crazy named Thomas Schiff in Dark Knight and then portrayed the sarcastic Russian computer whiz Kurt in Ant-Man. He's expected to reprise Kurt in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Zoe Saldana – The Losers (2010) / Gaurdians of the Galaxy (2014-present)
After playing a blue-skinned alien in Avatar, she played the green-skinned Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy, and reprises the role in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, as well as in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. Before that, though, she played the gun-toting agent Aisha al-Fadhil in the Vertigo Comics adaptation The Losers.
Parker Posey - Blade: Trinity (2004) / Superman Returns (2006)
The indie movie queen dipped her toes in the superhero world playing the vampire Danica Talos in the legendarily bad threequel Blade: Trinity. Two years later she appeared as Lex Luthor's main squeeze/accomplice Kitty Kowalski in Bryan Singer's Superman Returns.
Terence Stamp - Superman (1978) & Superman II (1980) / Elektra (2005)
The legendary English actor portrayed Superman's Kryptonian nemesis General Zod in the first two Superman movies, sporting the catchphrase "Kneel before Zod!" Decades later he portrayed the sensei of Jennifer Garner's assassin Elektra in the Fox/Marvel bomb.
Callan Mulvey – Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) / Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
This memorable character actor portrayed S.H.I.E.L.D. agent/secret HYDRA villain Jack Rollins (not to be confused with Woody Allen's agent Jack Rollins) in The Winter Soldier. Then he popped up two years later as Anatoli Knyazev (known in the comics as the KGBeast) in Batman v Superman, holding Supes' mom hostage with a flame thrower.
Scoot McNairy - Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) / All Hail the King (2014)
McNairy played documentary filmmaker Jackson Norriss interviewing Ben Kingsley's Trevor Slattery in the 14-minute Marvel One-Shot titled All Hail the King. Two years later, he was the disgruntled Wallace Keefe, who uses a bomb in his wheelchair to blow up a congressional hearing amid the convoluted plot of Batman v Superman.
Michael Clarke Duncan - Daredevil (2003) / Green Lantern (2011)
The late actor of enormous stature cut the perfect figure for the formidable villain The Kingpin in the Daredevil movie. He later provided voice work for the enormous no-nonsense Green Lantern trainer Kilowog in the feature version of that comic book franchise.
Angela Bassett – Green Lantern (2011) / Black Panther (2018)
Before Viola Davis played Dr. Amanda Waller in Suicide Squad, Angela Bassett played a more streamlined version of the government agent in the failed Green Lantern movie. She'll change sides to Marvel next year playing T'Challa's stepmother Ramonda in the Black Panther solo outing.
Taika Waititi – Green Lantern (2011) / Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Another Green Lantern vet is Taika Waititi, who played Hal Jordan's buddy Thomas Kalmaku. The New Zealander will next step behind the camera for Marvel's big fall release Thor: Ragnarok, and will also provide motion capture for the character of Korg. Korg played a big part in the "Planet Hulk" comics, although it is unknown if the character resembling Korg in Thor: The Dark World is the same character or not.
