Is This The Avengers 4 Title?

Has the Avengers 4 title been revealed? A new report claims to have discovered the Avengers 4 title.

The Avengers 4 title may have accidentally slipped a little early

Production is well underway on Marvel Studios‘ massive superhero ensemble, Avengers: Infinity War. The film is set to hit the big screen May 4, 2018 with its still officially untitled followup then arriving one year later on May 3, 2019. Originally announced as Infinity War – Part I and Infinity War – Part II, it was later revealed that a new Avengers 4 title would be revealed at a later date. Now it seems that that Avengers 4 title may have slipped a little early. BBC reporter Lizo Mzimba (via /Film) spoke with star Zoe Saldana at the Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 UK premiere.

“I think that the Guardians just shot their part when it comes to ‘Infinity War,’ the first part,” says Saldana. “And we all have to go back for ‘Gauntlet’ later this year.”

While unconfirmed at this time, it certainly sounds like Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet is the Avengers 4 title. That would make the films the reverse of their comic book counterparts. Marvel followed the 1991 inter-company crossover Infinity Gauntlet with the Infinity War miniseries event in 1992. Then again, it’s entirely possible that Gauntlet is just an internal name and that a different Avengers 4 title will be revealed at a future date.

Directors Anthony and Joe Russo, who return after Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, are directing both Avengers: Infinity War and the fourth film. Both are written by screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely and will be shot entirely with IMAX cameras.
