In season five of the Netflix series, a riot sparked by Poussey’s death quickly escalates when the inmates gain control of the prison. Once they get a taste of power, chaos erupts in the halls of Litchfield. The events of the three-day riot left the inmates’ lives forever changed as they fought for redemption, resolution, and the respect they deserve, ending with personal triumphs as well as heavy consequences as inmates were ultimately loaded into buses, separated, and taken away to new prisons.
Details for season six of Orange is the New Black are being kept tightly under wraps, but based on a couple of Twitter posts by stars Laura Prepon (Alex Vause) and Danielle Brooks (Tasha ‘Taystee’ Jefferson), we know that production on the upcoming season wrapped in February earlier this year.
