Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist (Glee) as Kara Danvers/Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Chyler Leigh (Grey’s Anatomy) as Alex Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow ‘Winn’ Schott, Katie McGrath (Merlin) as Lena Luthor, Jess Rath as Brainiac 5, and David Harewood as Hank Henshaw/J’onn J’onnz. Last season, Sam Witwer, Rhona Mitra, and Bruce Boxleitner joined the cast to portray the roles of Agent Liberty, Mercy Graves, and Vice President Baker, respectively.
Buono is set to star as Gamemnae, who has been safeguarding Earth from the foolishness of humanity throughout history alongside others of her species whose main goal is to conquer humanity through technology. She is described as “cunning, witty, ruthless” and her agenda puts her on a collision course with the titular hero.
Pileggi will recur as Rhama Khan, who has the ability to control the four ancient elements, earth, fire, water and air, and has been entrusted with the powers to protect the Earth from humanity for millions of years, but a new agenda puts him on the warpath with Supergirl and Lena.
