Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci and more join Showtime’s Yellowjackets
The Wrap reports that Juliette Lewis and Christina Ricci have joined the Showtime pilot Yellowjackets, along with eight other cast members — Ella Purnell, Sophie Nélisse, Sammi Hanratty, Sophie Thatcher, Steven Krueger, and Amy Okuda will also join the previously announced Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, and Jasmin Savoy Brown.

Per the report, the drama centers on “wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the Ontario wilderness.” The series will chronicle their descent from a thriving team to “warring, cannibalistic clans,” whilst also focusing on their lives some 25 years later.
Lewis and Ricci will star as the adult versions of their respective characters, with Thatcher and Hanratty set to portray the younger iterations.
Narcos alums Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson created the series.

Karyn Kusama, who directed the film Destroyer, starring Nicole Kidman, will helm the pilot.
