Not too much has been shown off from the upcoming DC film Blue Beetle, but a new look at the suit that Jaime Reyes will don in the film has been released.
The new look at the suit comes courtesy of a fan page on Twitter, and seems to come from a screenshot of a website or potential magazine scan. The image showcases the Blue Beetle character in his full armor, complete with two prongs sticking out of the back and his eyes lit up.
This latest look at the costume comes almost a full year after images of actor Xolo Maridueña on set and in costume made their way online. Those images showed Maridueña in a more unfinished looking suit, but still gave fans the framework for what the outfit would look like in the film.
The Blue Beetle movie is directed by Angel Manuel Soto (Charm City Kings) from a screenplay adapted by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer (Miss Bala). Cobra Kai breakout Xolo Maridueña stars in Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Films’ first stand-alone Latino-led superhero movie as Mexican American teenager, Jaime Reyes.
Joining Maridueña are Oscar winner Susan Sarandon, Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows), Brazilian star Bruna Marquezine (Breaking Through) as Penny, and Belissa Escobedo (Sex Appeal, Hocus Pocus 2) as Milagro Reyes, George Lopez (The Spy Next Door) as Uncle Rudy, Adrianna Barraza (Babel) as Nana, Elpidia Carrillo (Predator) as Rocio, and Damián Alcázar (Narcos) as Alberto.
