Samba de Amigo has dug into Sega’s history in the past, and Samba de Amigo: Party Central is keeping up that tradition. This upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive rhythm game will have a pair of notable songs from the Sonic franchise, in addition to a stage from Sonic Adventure 2, when it comes out sometime in the summer.
Sonic Adventure 2‘s “Escape From the City” is the first song, while Sonic Forces‘ “Fist Bump” is the second. The City Escape level from Sonic Adventure 2, as shown by the featured image, will also be in the game. Sonic even dances along with Samba in the San Francisco-inspired stage.
Samba de Amigo was originally developed by Sonic Team, which is why the two, along with being published by Sega, have always been linked. Samba de Amigo Ver. 2000 had a number of songs from Sonic games like Sonic Adventure‘s “It Doesn’t Matter” and “Open Your Heart,” Sonic CD‘s “You Can Do Anything,” and Sonic R‘s “Super Sonic Racing,” just to name a few, but they all required a downloadable unlock key. Sega confirmed that Party Central will also have DLC, but it has not confirmed what songs will be available after launch.
