Betty Gilpin & King Bach join Netflix’s Coffee & Kareem comedy
Deadline is reporting that Emmy nominee Betty Gilpin (Glow) and Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor (Meet the Blacks), are joining Taraji P. Henson (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Empire) and Ed Helms (The Hangover trilogy) in Netflix’s Coffee & Kareem comedy feature.

Gilpin’s credits also include Universal’s A Dog Journey, American Gods, and the upcoming The Hunt from Nick Cuse and Damon Lindelof. Bach has also starred in King Bachelor’s Pad, and can next be seen in Netflix’s upcoming Rim of the World directed by McG.
In the project, Helms will portray a Detroit cop with Henson playing his girlfriend. Helms’ character will reluctantly team up with Henson’s 11-year-old son to clear his name and take down the city’s most ruthless criminal.
RonReaco Lee (First Wives Club, Survivor’s Remorse), and up-and-comer Terrence Little Gardenhigh (Speechless, Just Roll With It) have also joined the cast.

Michael Dowse (Stuber, Goon) will direct Coffee & Kareem from a script written by Shane McCarthy, which was featured on the 2014 Blacklist. Helms and Mike Falbo will produce through their Pacific Electric Picture Co. banner. Executive producers include Sanford Nelson, Jordon Foss, Linden Nelson, and Don Foss.
