Searchlight Pictures has revealed the official Fresh trailer for the upcoming horror thriller film, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Sebastian Stan. The film will be available for U.S. streaming on March 4, 2022 on Hulu, followed by an international debut in the spring on Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in all other territories.
The video features a seemingly romantic meet-cute at a grocery store which suddenly turns into a psychological nightmare when Stan’s charming character Steve turns out to be a psycho with an unusual appetite.

Fresh is the directorial debut film of Mimi Cave, which was written by Lauryn Kahn. It stars Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People), Sebastian Stan (Pam and Tommy), Jojo T. Gibbs (Twenties), Charlotte Le Bon (Anthropoid, The Hundred-Foot Journey), Andrea Bang (Luce), and Dayo Okeniyi (Runner Runner, The Spectacular Now)
“The film follows Noa, who meets the alluring Steve at a grocery store and – given her frustration with dating apps – takes a chance and gives him her number,” reads the official synopsis. “After their first date, Noa is smitten and accepts Steve’s invitation to a romantic weekend getaway. Only to find that her new paramour has been hiding some unusual appetites.”

Fresh is produced by Adam McKay and Kevin Messick under their Hyperobject Industries banner, with Maeve Cullinane as co-producer. The team also includes cinematographer Pawel Pogorzelski (Hereditary, Midsommar), editor Martin Pensa (Wild, Dallas Buyers Club), production designer Jennifer Morden (Riot Girls), and composer Alex Somers (Honey Boy, Captain Fantastic).
