The upcoming film will reunite Avengers: Endgame stars Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson, who have signed for leading roles, with Ozark star Jason Bateman attached to direct.
Project Artemis is written by Rose Gilroy, and will reportedly be set against the space race. Further details about its plot and characters are still being kept under wraps. The acquisition deal reportedly cost Apple more than $100 million. The project will be produced by Bateman through his Aggregate Films along with Johansson, Jonathan Lia, and Keenan Flynn through their These Pictures banner.
Apple’s romantic action-adventure film Ghosted was initially set to be Evans and Johansson’s reunion. However, due to scheduling conflicts, Johansson had to exit the film and was replaced by Ana de Armas, who is currently filming Ghosted with Evans.
Project Artemis marks Evans and Johansson’s latest collaboration with Apple. The Captain America star previously starred in the streamer’s limited drama Defending Jacob, while the Black Widow star is also currently working with Apple and A24 on the sci-fi drama film Bride.

Rocky vet Carl Weathers took to Twitter to reveal that production on the highly-anticipated third season of The Mandalorian has finally been completed. The filming wrap comes after more than a year since the popular Star Wars series had concluded its eight-episode second season.
“After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe, the series is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order,” reads the synopsis. “We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.”
The Star Wars series is being led by Pedro Pascal as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy. Before the new season, Pascal’s Din Djarin previously appeared in last year’s The Book of Boba Fett spin-off. As of now, Carl Weathers and Gian Carlo Esposito are the only returning cast members confirmed for the third season. Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd has also joined the upcoming new season for a guest-starring role.
The Mandalorian hails from executive producers Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, Karen Gilchrist, and Carrie Beck, with Favreau also set as the showrunner and one of its directors.
ComingSoon is pleased to debut a cover of The Cure’s “In Between Days” by Luamel, a new single from the series Pachinko.
The Korean band Luamel puts an energetic spin on the classic song and the cover appears in Episode 4 of the Apple TV+ series, which will premiere on April 1. The critically acclaimed dramatic series is told in three languages—Korean, Japanese, and English. Lakeshore Records will release the single on April 1 and the score album by Nico Muhly is also available.
“The music for Pachinko had some heavy lifting to do: the show gracefully skips around from Japan to Korea, from the 1930s to the 1980s, and everywhere in between,” says Muhly. “The music had to bridge these time periods, bind the characters together, and keep the audience focused on the incredible performances on the screen. I immediately decided that the music had to be simultaneously acoustic and electronic, to avoid needing to immediately change “styles” with every change of period. Instead of writing themes for each character, I tried to establish a sort of “family tree” of material, which all stems from Sunja, her mother, and father.”

Disney+ has officially changed the release date for Lucasfilm’s newest Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi, starring Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen. Originally slated for a Wednesday, May 25 release, the highly-anticipated prequel has now been scheduled to make its debut on Friday, May 27 for a two-episode premiere.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will see the return of Ewan McGregor to the Star Wars universe as he reprises his iconic role as the titular Jedi master, which he famously portrayed in George Lucas’ prequel trilogy. It also features the return of fellow Star War alums Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and Joel Edgerton as Owen Lars.
“The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader,” reads the official synopsis.
Joining the returning Star Wars alums are franchise newcomers Kumail Nanjiani (Eternals), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Godzilla: King of the Monsters), Sung Kang (F9: The Fast Saga), Moses Ingram (The Queen’s Gambit), Indira Varma (Game of Thrones), Rupert Friend (The French Dispatch), Simone Kessell (Of Kings and Prophets), Benny Safdie (Uncut Gems) and Maya Erskine (PEN15).

The final eight episodes of the series are expected to debut later this year.
The popular horror drama is currently airing the second part of The Walking Dead final season, with its mid-season finale episode set to premiere this Sunday, April 3 on AMC+ and one week later on AMC.
Today is the big day! Filming for #TheWalkingDead is coming to an end. It’s been an incredible 12 years and we hope all the amazing cast and crew have a fantastic wrap day. #TWDFamily forever! pic.twitter.com/ybGR8jqa9O
The Walking Dead is a story that started 10 years ago with one man trying to find his family. That family grew, and gradually communities took shape. They fought and survived, thrived, and gave birth to a new generation. It is a tale of humankind, and there are more stories to tell.
Season 11 consists of 24 episodes which be divided into three 8-episode parts, with the final two parts set to air in 2022. It features new cast members including Margot Bingham as Stephanie, Michael James Shaw as Mercer, Laila Robins as Pamela Milton, and Josh Hamilton as Lance Hornsby.
The Walking Dead currently stars Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Cailey Fleming, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. It also features Nadia Hilker, Lauren Ridloff, Cooper Andrews, Callan McAuliffe, Eleanor Matsuura, and Cassady McClincy.
Based on Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard’s comic series of the same name, the series is executive produced by Kirkman, Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert, Joseph Incaprera, Gale Anne Hurd, Denise Huth, and Angela Kang, who is returning as the showrunner for the final installment.
The Lost City, which stars Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe, Oscar Nuñez, and Brad Pitt, is now playing in theaters. As stated in our review, the comedic adventure features plenty of action and laughs.
“Brilliant but reclusive author Loretta Sage has spent her career writing about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan, who has dedicated his life to embodying the hero character, ‘Dash,’” reads the synopsis. “While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire who hopes that she can lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest story. Wanting to prove that he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her. Thrust into an epic jungle adventure, the unlikely pair will need to work together to survive the elements and find the ancient treasure before it’s lost forever.”
ComingSoon writer Jonathan Sim spoke to The Lost City directors Adam and Aaron Nee about the comedy, how they assembled the all-star cast, and much more.
Jonathan Sim: What was the inspiration for the story and what was your writing process like for The Lost City?
Adam Nee: When we got a script from [screenwriter Dana Fox] and it’s amazing and we brought Dana back to write with us, it was this escapist adventure that we had been longing for. We were just like, “This is the movie that I want to see. So I want to be a part of it.” And our take was just kind of coming in and saying, “It’s super funny, it’s super romantic, but let’s approach it like we’re making Raiders of The Lost Ark, let’s approach it we’re making a high-stakes adventure movie, and then just let it be really funny instead of making it just a super broad comedy, let’s raise the stakes,” and that’s kind of, that was our way into the story, wouldn’t you agree?
Aaron Nee: That idea, that inspiration, influenced our decision on how we were going to direct it and how we were going to make it. Which meant in order to bring that level of adventure, we needed to really go into the elements, we needed to really take our cast and throw ’em into the jungle and throw ’em into the water and do it for real. Yeah.
This is a really funny movie and there are a lot of hilarious moments in the film. So were there any funny moments that weren’t in the script that you guys sort of improvised and found on the day?
Adam: I mean, in terms of…definitely lines, there are incredible lines that were left on the cutting room floor. I mean, we would do things where, there’s a scene where [Channing Tatum] and [Brad Pitt] and [Sandra Bullock] are in the jungle, and Channing is saying, “I have a few quotes that would be good in this moment,” and we’d have him do 15 different, crazy quotes that Dash would come up with in that moment. And we’re all cracking up after every single take, but you can’t use all of them, you know? So you have to choose one.
Aaron: Or Brad being asked why he’s so handsome. And then, for every take throwing some different idea at him or him trying out things, you know?
Also going along with that, being out there on location is a part of discovering those changes too. And so even things like, there’s a moment where Brad Pitt’s character, to get up on top of a tent, goes running up a palm tree. And that came from being out on location and seeing this palm tree leaning like that and, and imagining Brad running up, it’s like, I feel like he could run up this.
Being on location really does enhance the whole experience because this is a big movie with a lot of stunts and explosions. What would you say was the most challenging part of making The Lost City?
Adam: I feel like it was kind of an endurance test of just being in the jungle in that heat during the pandemic. So wearing K95’s, and you’re wearing long sleeves because of bugs and mosquitoes and stuff.
Aaron: And Sandy’s doing the whole thing in heels and sequin jumpsuits.
Adam: Yeah. So we think we have it hard. We’re like sweating it out, but she’s actually in sequin jumpsuits with high heels running through the jungle, getting in the water, on the waterfall ledge, climbing the cliff, like…crazy stuff we had her do in that movie. I think it was like, I don’t know if there was one day that I would say was like the hardest day, it was really just like an endurance test because, you were in the elements, in a very extreme sense.
Aaron: It seemed like every week we’d be like, “Okay, we just got to get through the river work,” and then it’s “We can relax a little bit.” And then you get through the river work, it’s like, “We just have to get through the ocean work and then it’ll be a little bit easier now, we just have to get the caves.” And then it’s like, by the time we got to the end of the movie, it was never easy. It had never gotten easier. [laughs]
This really was such an interesting film to make because you have Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum as the two leads. So I was just wondering, how did you guys go about like the casting process for this movie, and how important was it to have two actors with on-screen chemistry?
Adam: I mean, that’s the make or break. The casting is really what makes the movie and Sandy was kind enough to cast us as the directors because she was a producer and she was on from the very start. And then we were just kind of thinking who is this Dash character, who is this cover model character that’s out there that would be a good pair with Sandy? And Channing came up immediately. And it wasn’t until we had our first meeting, the four of us together where we saw the way that Channing and Sandy joked with each other, that we knew that we had something special, that it was one of those rare pairings that you go, “Oh my gosh, this is so obvious. How has this not happened?” Because they’re just incredible together.
Then with the rest of the cast, it’s really about rounding it out with diverse types of actors and different tones and someone like Daniel Radcliffe, who is obviously known for the Harry Potter movies, but also as a dramatic actor. So putting him in this comedy, we really were very excited about that. And then having like Da’Vine Joy Randolph, who is this incredibly powerful actor who is really, really funny. Oscar Nunez, this terrific comedian and then someone like Patty Harris, I think is one of the most brilliant up-and-coming comedians actors as well.
Aaron: They are all extremely talented. They’re all very funny, but they have their peculiar, unique ways of expressing that talent and being funny, and the things that are different about them, I think are a big part of what makes this cocktail works so well.
I love every single member of this cast, so you guys did an excellent job with that. You guys also somehow managed to get the legendary Brad Pitt into this movie. How did that happen? What was that experience like?
Adam: He was just good in the audition. He wanted the part so bad. He was calling our agents and emailing our manager and then he came in and he prepared this long monologue about Jack Trainer, and he had a song, he brought his tap-dancing shoes. He was just after this movie for so long. He wanted to work with us. [laughs].
Aaron: The truth is that they share a hairdresser.
Adam: It’s always the hairdresser.
Aaron: Do not underestimate the importance of having the right hairdresser.
Adam: Hairdressers run Hollywood.
Aaron: Yeah. And so, Sandy makes a cameo appearance in Bullet Train, which was shooting just ahead of us. And then for real, they share a hairdresser, so that’s what started the dialogue between the two of them because we had brought Brad Pitt up as… we couldn’t imagine a more perfect person to play this, but Adam and I went, “We’re never going to get him.” Our feeling was that Brad’s not going to do it. We’re never going to be able to get him. But we were fortunate enough that we have Sandy, who’s an incredible draw and while Brad, maybe isn’t going to take the call from us, he’ll take the call from Sandy.
Adam: Yeah. We’re so grateful. I mean, he’s just like, he’s one of those guys where you have this idea in your head of what that person’s going to be like, and then you meet him, and he totally transcends that. He’s cooler than you think he’s going to be, he’s funnier than you think he’s going to be. And he also just somehow, seems really normal, and just like someone you can kind of chat with and hang out with it. It was a pleasure to work with him.
Aaron: We were very fortunate in that we have this all-star cast and they all were a delight to work with and all so good to each other, and so supportive of the project, which we really needed because we were throwing them in very difficult shooting conditions. If they didn’t want to be there, or they didn’t believe in the project we would’ve been lost.
This definitely is an all-star cast and it is your biggest venture into Hollywood yet. So I wanted to ask, what was the process like for getting an original action-comedy off the ground and getting it made into a blockbuster?
Adam: Well, I think Liza Chasin, our other producer, deserve a lot of the credit. They really championed this movie and having someone like Sandra Bullock say, “I’m gonna do this movie, I want to do this movie” gets people to pay attention. And then I think it was really just, there was just this universal hunger for an original adventure movie. I’m a big fan of Marvel movies and Star Wars movies, but I think there’s still this hunger for an original adventure film, original content. It takes people like Sandy and Channing being in the movie that helps something like that happen. The talent is what drives that.
Aaron: Yeah. My hat’s off to Paramount for breaking the trend, and taking a chance on something that isn’t based on some old preexisting I.P. but is a new original adventure film.
There are definitely so many scenes that really define the genre in this movie. What are each of your favorite scenes from The Lost City?
Adam: I think my favorite scene is probably the culmination of the sequence where Channing and Brad are going to rescue Sandy, but it’s at the end of it, when it’s just Channing and Sandy together and they’re on a cliffside and the car spins out and he has to find his rescuee. That is probably my favorite scene in the movie.
Aaron: Yeah. It’s hard to isolate it to any one given moment. I think a big part of what makes this fun too are all the little moments, like Da’Vine and Oscar Nuez that, while you’re having this great ride with Sandy and Channing, you also have these really special moments, with the supporting cast who elevate the movie and round it out so much. And with Daniel coming in and stepping into this role that we hadn’t seen him in before, that there are just lots of special little moments there of getting to see this side of him that we’re excited to be showing to audiences.
Adam: Yeah. I would also say that Daniel being this guy, who’s like this James Bond villain who doesn’t see himself as a villain, but as James Bond himself, when he first meets Sandy and is kidnapping her and his plane comes down and starts plating the charcuterie, I would also, say’s is one of my favorite moments in the movie.
Aaron: Yeah. Takes the Bond villain moment and flips it on its head.
Daniel is really great in this movie. I do want to ask, you guys have worked in many genres before and The Lost City has action, comedy, adventure, and romance at the center. So, when you guys make your next project, what is a genre that you guys might want to explore more of the future?
Adam: I would love to, at the end of our career, be able to look back and see that we’ve had a very diverse journey where we play in every genre. Our next movie is Masters of the Universe, which is obviously like a big kind superhero movie that will be more in that zone, but it also is going to be genre-splitting, where it’s going to be very funny, very adventurous, lot of action. But yeah, I mean, I think that to me, it’s really like being able to play in all of those things. I think all of my favorite movies are kind of all over the place.
Aaron: Some of the things that we’ve been exploring and cooking up bring in the thriller element. That’s something that we’re excited to play in as well. But like Adam was saying, we get excited about making a movie that isn’t just one thing. That…it can be an adventure, but it’s not just an adventure, it’s also just as much a comedy and a romance as it is an adventure, or…
Aaron: If we make a thriller, that it’s not just a thriller, but you’ve got these other layers in there that broaden that genre out.
Following the premiere of Bridgerton Season 2, Netflix has finally announced the main cast for Shonda Rhimes’ upcoming spin-off miniseries about the origins of Queen Charlotte, portrayed by Golda Rosheuval in the main drama. Leading the main cast of the Bridgerton prequel is India Amarteifio (Line of Duty), who has been tapped to play the young version of Rosheuval’s Queen Charlotte.

However, Game Director Kenji Kimura didn’t go into it wanting to have a more honest examination of passing on. He said that books from science fiction writer Chōhei Kambayashi as well as Connie Willis’ Passage may have been subliminally floating around in his brain, but looking at death was more of a byproduct of wanting to look at loss. It’s why the story immediately starts with so much of it: KK has lost his family and body, Tokyo has lost a sizable amount of its population, and Akito is about to lose his sister, Mari.
Akito’s relationship with Mari is central to the story. And while Akito’s main goal is to save her, the game flips that idea around on its head just before he actually gets to speak to her in the final mission. Hannya, the masked antagonist, brings up if she’d even want to be saved given her condition, which calls Akito’s mission into question, as well as how we look at life. It’s unexpected since we, as Akito does, often assume things of the dead or dying, especially in regards to whether they’d rather continue living. Kimura said this idea came from wanting to look into how conversations would go with people that we normally could not reach.
“The ability of communicating with the paranormal or the inability to do so or being blocked from doing so, was a key thought that we had in mind,” said Kimura. “Like people who are not with us anymore, Mari in this case, those are still alive have to cope with that, so how would you talk to them? So it sheds a little light on, ‘If I was able to communicate with this person, what would be that conversation?’”
The main campaign is fueled by this sense of loss, but that also extends to many of the side missions. Some of the spirits left floating around the Shibuya ward are still lingering because of unfinished business and usually revolves around a grim subject: a factory where its workers are meeting a gruesome fate, the ancient warrior who haunts a building constructed on his old grave, a hoarder whose greed harms those even upon death.
While they are all their own standalone episodes, they’re mostly connected through their subject matter in a way that feels consistent with the game as a whole and reinforces its themes. This isn’t common in other open-world games where the side missions are mindless, repeatable content only designed to inflate the playtime and not contribute much, if anything, to the narrative. Game Designer Suguru Murakoshi said they looked at the aforementioned hoarder’s house as a template to see how much gameplay, story, and depth to put into each side quest. Kimura elaborated, stating it was a way for Tango to further engage with the mythology it is steeped within, in addition to creating alternate viewpoints on its heavier themes.
“In Japan, there are a lot of urban legends and we wanted to create entertaining experiences for players to experience them without getting too heavy,” said Kimura. “In every city, there’s probably like a hoarder who might be considered evil. We had to balance that out so they didn’t become too heavy on the theme of death. We created two characters, Akito and KK, the odd and funny two-man team, and that way there is more of a practical and easier way to approach death and talk about themes about facing and dealing with death.”
The latter parts of Kimura’s words refer to some of the sillier or more lighthearted side missions, like the quest regarding the raccoon-like creatures called tanuki. Ghostwire: Tokyo, despite its serious subjects, has some genuinely funny dialogue, which is mostly buoyed by Akito and KK’s banter that Kimura spoke of. It’s surprising, especially in the face of both The Evil Within games that contain almost zero comedy.
It wasn’t an accident either since Murakoshi said he deliberately wanted the game to be funnier to balance out its darkness. He said that Tango “didn’t want to make it too depressing without bringing some more lightness to the conversation.” He admitted that a horror game wouldn’t need these kinds of moments since it is a “different type of emotional journey.”
Murakoshi said that this comedic tint is likely from Executive Producer Shinji Mikami. While Mikami is known for his serious games like Resident Evil 2 and Vanquish, he’s also played a key role in other goofier titles like God Hand, Shadows of the Damned, and Viewtiful Joe. His sense of humor can be most clearly seen in a recent video where he interviews the Ghostwire team while joking around the whole time, even directly making fun of Murakoshi right to his face after a particularly lengthy answer.
“[Mikami] is joking all the time and always saying something funny, like in our prolonged meetings, for example,” said Murakoshi. “There’s probably a lot of his humor that rubbed off on us and was something we placed onto the game.”
And even though the game is heavy on loss, it does open up and show the brighter sides of life, too. Akito comes to terms with his inability to confront his parents’ death and sister’s condition by telling them that he will going to start living his life “even if it means feeling weak,” something Hannya could not accept, which ended up spelling his demise. Loss has changed him for the better and also given him a new friend, KK, who also grows by the time the credits roll.
“[Everyone vanishing in Tokyo] is how KK meets Akito and even though there is loss, there is also something new that is gained through the encountering of new people,” said Kimura. “So it’s not all about death, it’s also about balance with positive things about life, too.”
Mikami’s real-life personality may have influenced the game in Murakoshi’s eyes, but Murakoshi also put a little bit of himself into the game. His mother passed away a bit before working on the game, while his father passed during development. Losing two parents in such a short span is hard and Murakoshi said that the game with all of its looks into the afterlife and death, helped him grapple with the subject.
“I don’t think I would have been able to overcome it yet,” said Murakoshi. “I haven’t had much time to really face it from the front like the game does. But I am pretty sure my experiences during development have probably influenced some of the narrative that’s in the game and I am fairly sure this game has made me look at death in a different way than I would have if I wasn’t creating this game. There have probably been influences both ways.”
Real-life life and death is also reflected in the credits, as a brief tribute to ZeniMax’s co-founder Robert Altman is the first thing that pops up before the scores of living people who contributed to Ghostwire: Tokyo. It’s a fitting way to wrap up. The game’s narrative before those credits does leave a lot to be desired, though. It omits large portions of backstory and context, is often confusing, and ends right as it is ramping up. Yet, despite the occasionally faulty execution, its attempts to examine the taboo subject of death are notable, which ironically gives the game some more life.

Despite PlayStation Plus’ incoming overhaul, the PlayStation Plus April 2022 lineup is still quite in line with past months. The games are Hood: Outlaws & Legends, Slay the Spire, and Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated. The three titles will be available from April 5 to May 2.
Hood: Outlaws & Legends is the PlayStation 5 title of the bunch, but it will also be available on PS4, too. It’s a multiplayer action game with magic, melee weapons, and bows and arrows that released in 2021 to mediocre reviews, garnering a 66 average from OpenCritic. Players can go up against AI or the AI and other humans as they try to rob the wealthy.
Slay the Spire is one of the PS4 titles and is arguably the most beloved of the trio, coming in at a 89 average. This deck-building roguelite is known for its brutal card-based gameplay and popularized the deckbuilding roguelite genre, inspiring games like Monster Train. It may be hard, but it was praised for its deep mechanics that reward those who learn its many intricacies.
Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated is the final title. This PS4 remaster of a PS2 collect-a-thon platformer released in 2020 hit a 70 average on OpenCritic and was able to reach a whole new audience who grew to love the sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea. Purple Lamp Studios’ next SpongeBob game is likely to release sometime this year, which gives PlayStation Plus subscribers time to catch up.
Sony also announced that Persona 5 would be leaving the PS Plus Collection for PS5 owners on May 11. Players just need to add it to their library to make sure it stays playable past that date, granted they keep their PlayStation Plus subscription.
While it may be a surprise to some, the lineup was once again leaked through Dealabs, which has an accurate track record of getting the lineup out there just before Sony’s official announcement.

Before the age of Into The Spider-Verse, Batman vs. Superman, and even the concept of the cinematic universe, crossovers were still big. Look no further than the made-for-TV film The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones. Everyone knew that the adventures of these Hanna-Barbara creations were of a kind, but seeing the two families come together was mind-blowing for anyone tuning in back in 1987.
Reebok also remembers this TV milestone, and they’ve teamed up with Warner Bros. to produce a line of sneakers molded after characters straight out of Bedrock and Orbit City. Whether you want to kick it in a pair of orange and white shoes plastered with Baby Puss, show off a “devilish portrayal” of Mr. Spacely, or cover your feet in the same tone of green as the Great Gazoo, this campaign has you covered.
The shoes will be available globally on a special branch of Reebok’s website starting on April 5th for members of Reebok’s Unlocked loyalty program before becoming accessible to all on April 8th. Prices on the shoes range from $100 to $200 based on the design. There will also be a line of other apparel along with the shoes, including short and long sleeve tees, a women’s crew, and women’s athletic wear.
This collaboration with Warner Bros. is not the first time that Reebok has ventured into nostalgic editions of their signature footwear. A lineup of Power Rangers-inspired products debuted just a few days ago on March 25, and there have also been mashups with Ghostbusters and Alien among many others.
