ComingSoon is excited to debut a The Humans special features clip from its home release. The film is out April 19 from Lionsgate on DVD and Blu-ray. Our clip goes over how the film was adapted from Stephen Karam’s play.
“Erik Blake has gathered three generations of his Pennsylvania family to celebrate Thanksgiving at his daughter’s apartment in lower Manhattan,” says the synopsis. “As darkness falls outside and eerie things start to go bump in the night, the group’s deepest fears are laid bare. The piercingly funny and haunting debut film from writer-director Stephen Karam, adapted from his Tony Award-winning play, The Humans explores the hidden dread of a family and the love that binds them together.”

The film adaptation stars Oscar nominees Richard Jenkins (The Shape of Water), Steven Yeun (Minari), and June Squibb (Nebraska) along with Golden Globe nominees Amy Schumer (Trainwreck), and Beanie Feldstein (Booksmart). It will also star Jayne Houdyshell as she reprises her Tony-winning role as Deirdre Blake.
