Not much is known about Jordan Peele’s upcoming film Nope, but a new teaser for the film including NBA superstar Stephen Curry continues to showcase an ominous threat.

In a new TV spot for the film, Curry can be seen walking into a basketball court located inside of a barn. After putting up a shot, however, things begin to shake, and as the shot misses and the ball bounces back to the entrance of the barn, Curry goes to investigate, only to see the ball get sucked up into the sky.

This causes Curry to immediately turn back, toss his hood over his head, and simply mutter “Nope” before the spot ends. The spot will air in conjunction with the start of the 2022 NBA playoffs, and will likely premiere during the Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets game later today.

Check out the new Nope TV spot below:

Nope will be led by Oscar-winner Daniel Kaluuya, who is officially reuniting with Peele following the successful release of 2017’s Get Out. Joining him are Keke Palmer (Hustle), and Oscar nominee Steven Yeun (Minari), who is no stranger to the horror genre after previously starring in The Walking Dead. Further details about the project’s plot and characters are still being kept under wraps, but like Peele’s first two directorial features, it is expected to be a psychological horror-thriller laced with socially conscious themes in regards to race and society.

The film is written and directed by Jordan Peele, who previously earned an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for his directorial feature debut Get Out. Before the upcoming film, he had also directed 2019’s Us starring Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke.
