Linda Cardellini, Matt Dillon, Kyle MacLachlan and Kathrine Narducci join the cast of Fonzo
Linda Cardellini (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Matt Dillon (There’s Something About Mary), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks) and Kathrine Narducci (The Sopranos) have joined Tom Hardy (Inception) in the cast of the Al Capone movie Fonzo, according to THR. The film will begin principal photography in April in New Orleans.
Written and directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle, Fantastic Four), Fonzo will be produced Russell Ackerman and John Schoenfelder (Tau) for Addictive Pictures alongside Oscar nominee Lawrence Bender (Inglorious Basterds, Pulp Fiction).
Once a ruthless businessman and bootlegger who ruled Chicago with an iron fist, Al Capone was the most infamous and feared gangster of American lore. At the age of 47, following nearly a decade of imprisonment, dementia rots Al’s mind and his past becomes present as harrowing memories of his violent and brutal origins melt into his waking life.
Cardellini will play Capone’s wife Mae, Dillon will play his best friend Johnny, MacLachlan will play mob doctor Karlock and Narducci will play Capone’s sister Rosie.
