Ridley Scott is in talks to direct Queen & Country, based on the graphic novel
Ridley Scott (Alien: Covenant) is in talks to direct a film based on the graphic novel Queen & Country, according to The Wrap. The 20th Century Fox film would also be produced by Scott with Chernin Entertainment if he joins. The Queen & Country graphic novel comes to us from Greg Rucka and is the story of an operative named Tara Chace in the British Secret Intelligence Service. Tara is part of a group of three operatives preserving British intelligence on the international stage. Tara’s identity is compromised after an assassination.
Queen & Country won the Eisner Award for best new series in 2002 and ran from 2001-2007. There were a number of artists involved over the 32 issue run including Bryan Lee O’Malley, the creator of Scott Pilgrim. There was an earlier script by Ryan Condal, then one by John Rogers and Rucka himself. It is unclear at this time who would be penning the script. Ellen Page was attached to the project some time ago.
