Following the successful theatrical release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, various reports about a potential second MCU Spider-Man trilogy immediately circulated online, with producer Amy Pascal even teasing their plans for the potential project. However, soon after her revelation, she clarified that there are still no current official plans for another trilogy with Tom Holland and Marvel Studios.
Speaking with EW, Holland has once again discussed his Spider-Man future, confirming that they’ve indeed had conversations about it. However, he reiterates that nothing has been made official yet, but he’s sure that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, Sony Pictures head Tom Rothman, and Pascal are “thinking of something.”
“We’ve had conversations about the potential future of Spider-Man, but at the moment they are conversations,” Holland said. “We don’t know what the future looks like.”
The 25-year-old blockbuster star also went on to admit that he’s currently “not really thinking about the future,” as he’s still “riding the wave of the success of the film and enjoying that.”

Fans have been clearly worried about the hero’s future within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially when Holland previously revealed that even if he’s not ready to say goodbye to the character, he’ll proudly accept whatever outcome the future may bring whether it’s time for him to leave or not.
In order to reassure fans, Feige previously stated that they’re “actively beginning to develop where the story heads next,” promising that Disney and Sony’s brief separation in 2019 won’t happen again this time.

The film currently holds a worldwide gross of over $1.7 billion and has become Sony’s highest-grossing film of all time. According to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are already actively beginning to develop their next Spider-Man film together.
Spider-Man: No Way Home sees the return of Tom Holland as the beloved titular wall-crawler, along with Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange. It was directed by Jon Watts from a screenplay written by Chris McKenna, and Erik Sommers.
