HBO Max has dropped the official DMZ trailer for Ava DuVernay’s upcoming limited action drama series, which is based on Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli’s DC graphic novel of the same name. This marks the acclaimed filmmaker’s latest collaboration with DC and Warner Bros. as she’s also currently executive producing The CW’s superhero series Naomi.
The DMZ trailer, which you can check out below along with key art, features Rosario Dawson’s Alma Ortega as she embarks on a dangerous mission through a post-apocalyptic Manhattan in order to find her long-lost son. It highlights the lives of the survivors who were left behind in the war-ridden city.
