Bridgerton Season 2 First Look Shows Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma

Netflix unveiled its Bridgerton Season 2 first look during today’s Tudum presentation. The next season of the hit romantic period drama is set to premiere next year and will be based on the second novel by Julia Quinn.

Bridgerton Season 2 will be based Julia Quinn’s The Viscount Who Loved Me, which centers around the pursuit of a suitable marriage for the eldest Bridgerton sibling, Anthony, portrayed by Jonathan Bailey. The new season features the introduction of a new female lead in the form of Sex Education actress Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma.

She will also be joined by new characters including Shelley Conn (Liar) as Edwina Sharma,  Calam Lynch (Benediction) as Theo Sharpe, Charithra Chandran (Alex Rider) as Edwina Sharma, Rupert Evans as Edmund Bridgerton, and Rupert Young (The Secret Garden) who will play Jack.
