To celebrate the film’s DVD release, ComingSoon is excited to debut a behind-the-scenes First Date clip showcasing some behind-the-scenes footage of the filming process.

The clip itself shows the process of filming a car chase scene. Directors Manuel Crosby and Darren Knapp explain the sequence and why it was so necessary to shoot in the nighttime, as well as how tough it was to get some of the shots done.

“Conned into buying a shady ’65 Chrysler, shy teen Mike’s (Tyson Brown) eagerly-anticipated first date with the girl-next-door, Kelsey (Shelby Duclos), implodes as he finds himself targeted by criminals, cops, and a crazy cat lady,” reads the official description for the film. “A night fueled by desire, bullets and burning rubber makes any other first date seem like a walk in the park.”

First Date is written and directed by Manuel Crosby and Darren Knap, and stars Jesse Janzen, Nicole Berry, Samuel Ademola, Ryan Quinn Adams, Angela Barber, Dave Reimer, Jake Howard, Samantha Laurenti, Scott Noble, Leah Finity, Josh Fesler, and Brandon Kraus.
First Date is now available on DVD and on demand from select platforms.
