Bandai Namco and Dragon Ball announced yet another brand new downloadable content character for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, with Dyspo set to arrive in the game as part of the Awakening Warrior Edition Pack of DLC later this summer.

The Awakened Warrior Pack will feature a variety of content selected by players thanks to the game’s Conton City Vote, which was previously held to determine the next warrior that would enter the game. In the first vote between Goku (Ultra Instinct -Sign-), Dyspo, Bergamo, Vegeta (GT), and Android 18 (DB Super), it was Goku’s Ultra Instinct form that won, putting the iconic character and his new Dragon Ball Super form into the game last month. Now, it’s Dyspo’s turn to arrive in the game.
Dyspo made his debut in the 85th episode of Dragon Ball Super, appearing as a member of the Pride Troopers (a very powerful superhero team who operate in Universe 11) before later going on to participate in the Tournament of Power. Throughout his appearances in Dragon Ball Super (and in the film Dragon Ball Super: Broly), Dyspo is shown to a relatively arrogant and reckless individual, albeit one with a strong sense of justice.
In the game, Dyspo’s main characteristic will be his speed, with the announcement of Dyspo noting that players will be able to close ground against enemies almost instantly with the character. His awakening technique also increases his movement speed even further, giving him almost unmatched abilities to get right up close against opponents.
Alongside Dyspo, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is also set to get a free update over the summer. The update includes a new CC Mascot in the form of the Hire Dragon, a small companion who will float alongside you in battle, and that was also decided in the Conton City Voting poll. The Hire Dragon, or Icarus, as he’s sometimes known, is one of Gohan’s closest non-human friends, and appears in the Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might film. A handful of new figures will also make their way into the game’s Hero Coliseum, with Son Goku and Dyspo being added into the mode.

Despite launching back in 2016, support for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is still going strong. Bandai Namco has made it a point to continue updating the game even though two other major Dragon Ball-based video games — FighterZ and Kakarot — have been released in that time span. There’s also still the potential for future updates, too.
