Yellowstone Season 5 Begins Production, Will Be Longest Season Yet

Paramount Network has officially announced that production on the highly-anticipated fifth season of Yellowstone has finally started in Montana. The filming start comes after more than four months since the popular family drama had concluded its 10-episode fourth season, which garnered an average of 11 million viewers.

Yellowstone Season 5 will be the Kevin Costner-led series’ biggest and longest installment yet, as it will be consisting of 14 episodes, which will be divided into two 7-episode parts.

“The series chronicles the Dutton family, led by John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States,” reads the synopsis. “Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect – the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.”

Yellowstone is created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. It stars Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Forrie Smith, Denim Richards, Ian Bohen, Finn Little, Ryan Bingham, Gil Birmingham, Jen Landon, and Kathryn Kelly.

Yellowstone is executive produced by John Linson, Art Linson, Taylor Sheridan, Kevin Costner, David C. Glasser, Bob Yari, and Stephen Kay. The Paramount Network original drama is co-produced and co-financed by 101 Studios.
