After getting delayed for almost a year, Paramount Pictures has officially released the final trailer for John Krasinski’s long-awaited horror sequel A Quiet Place Part II, starring Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy. The video features new intense footage of the remaining Abbott family’s bid for survival and a new look at the flashback sequence involving Krasinski’s character Lee. Originally set for a 2020 release, the film has been pushed back to Friday, May 28, for Memorial Day Weekend, followed by a streaming debut on Paramount+ after 45 days since its theatrical release. Its current release date will see the film going up against Disney’s newest live-action pic Cruella.

In A Quiet Place Part II, following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
The second installment sees the return of Emily Blunt as Evelyn Abbott, who is now leading the family’s survival following the death of Lee. Joining her are returning cast Noah Jupe as Marcus and Millicent Simmonds as Regan, along with new cast members, Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou.

Based on the characters created by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck, A Quiet Place: Part II is once again written and directed by John Krasinki, whose character is still set to appear in flashback scenes. Producers are Krasinski and Michael Bay (Transformers) along with Bay’s Platinum Dunes partners Andrew Form and Brad Fuller (Ouija, The Purge, Texas Chainsaw Massacre). The sequel is executive produced by Allyson Seeger, Joann Perritano, Aaron Janus.
A Quiet Place was from a spec script by Bryan Woods & Scott Beck, which Krasinski rewrote. It opened in theaters in April of 2018 and grossed over $334 million worldwide on a $17-million budget.
