  • Waller — a Peacermaker spin-off starring Viola Davis written by Christal Henry and Jeremy Carver.
  • Superman: Legacy — the upcoming Superman movie written by Gunn that isn’t an origin story. It will release on July 11, 2025.
  • Lanterns — Greg Berlanti’s Green Lantern series has been scrapped and a new show will take its place starring Hal Jordan and John Stewart.
  • The Authority — a movie based on the Wildstorm superheroes.
  • Paradise Lost — an HBO Max series that is said to be a Game of Thrones-style drama set on Themyscira. Takes place prior to Wonder Woman.

  • The Batman Part II — Robert Pattinson will return for the sequel, which will release on October 3, 2025.
  • Booster Gold — HBO Max series based on the lower-tier superhero.
  • Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow — a Supergirl movie that will be based on the Tom King miniseries.
  • Swamp Thing — a DC horror movie that will close out the first chapter of the new DCU.

With a clear vision ahead, the DC Universe can now move forward to a unified goal rather than feeling disjointed.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated return of Bridgerton, series vet Phoebe Dynevor has officially confirmed that she will not be reprising her role as Daphne in Netflix’s upcoming third season. The English actress first portrayed Daphne during the first season of the period drama, which she led alongside Regé-Jean Page.

Speaking with Screen Rant, Dynevor revealed that her absence in Bridgerton Season 3 won’t serve as an official ending for her character. She admitted that she’ll always be open for the opportunity to return in future seasons.

Bridgerton Season 3 will be based on the fourth book of the series titled Romancing Mister Bridgerton. Colin and Penelope will be succeeding the passionate love stories of Daphne and Simon from Season 1 and Anthony and Kate from Season 2.

“Season 3 finds Penelope Featherington as she’s finally given up her crush on Colin Bridgerton after hearing him disparage her to his friends last season,” reads the synopsis. “Instead, she’s focusing on finding a husband who will respect her independence so she may continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, away from her mother and sisters. My Hero Academia Season 6 Dub Finds Its Lady Nagant

My Hero Academia English Dub Adds Lady Nagant

The My Hero Academia English Dub for its sixth season has found its Lady Nagant, with Crunchyroll reporting that actress Erica Lindbeck will be voicing the role of the villainess.

Following the end of the Paranormal Liberation War, My Hero Academia is set to step into its next arc, one that will introduce viewers to Lady Nagant. The character — whose real name is Kaina Tsutsumi — used to be a Pro Hero, but ended up renouncing her heroic status and has since become one of the bigger villains in the series.

Her quirks include Rifle, giving her the ability to generate a sniper rifle out of her arm and turn her hair into different types of bullets.

Lindbeck is no stranger to the world of anime, having lent her voice to several high-profile roles, including Daki in Demon Slayer, Futaba Sakura in Persona 5: The Animation, and Kaori Miyazono in Your Lie in April.

My Hero Academia Season 6 adapted the “Paranormal Liberation War” arc of the original manga, which sees an all-out war occur between the heroes and villains of the series.

For those who might have missed the train on My Hero Academia, the series is available to stream in its entirety as of now. Currently, all 130 episodes of the anime are available to stream on Crunchyroll for those looking to catch up.

My Hero Academia began as a manga series written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi. It was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014. The anime television adaptation made its debut in 2016. Both are still ongoing.

Report: Marvel Disney+ Series Adds Jona Xiao in Lead Role

(Photo by Fred Hayes/Getty Images for SAGindie)

According to a recent report from The Cosmic Circus, actress Jona Xiao is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in an unknown role.

The report notes that the move was first spotted on Xiao’s resume on the website Actors Access for actors. On Xiao’s page, she is now listed as a “Lead Female” for an “NDA Marvel Project” on the Disney+ streaming platform.

While everything is currently being kept under wraps, the role of “Lead Female” suggests that Xiao will be heading up the project, or at the very least play a large role in the series somehow.

As of now, it’s unknown whether or not the series is live-action or animated. Given that Marvel Studios has a ton of different projects coming down the pipeline in the future, it’s likely we’ll know in the near future just what Xiao’s role will be.

For Xiao, this would actually be her second time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the first time her role made it to the screen. She was initially cast in a role in the 2017 film Spider-Man: Homecoming but had her part cut in the final version of the film.

Xiao is best known for her recurring role in the 2017 TV series Being Mary Jane, as well as the 2021 Starz crime drama Hightown, which also featured her in a recurring role. Most recently, Xiao lent her voice to the 2021 animated film Raya and the Last Dragon, where she played a younger version of Namaari, a warrior princess and the film’s main antagonist.

The Last of Us Creators Discuss How the Infection Spread

While the video game version of The Last of Us doesn’t explicitly state what the origins of the virus that spread across Earth is, the HBO live-action adaptation has addressed it. According to showrunner Craig Mazin and game creator Neil Druckmann, some more of the origin of the fungal infection will be explored.

Speaking to Variety in a recent interview, Mazin and Druckmann — the latter of whom wrote and co-directed development on the first game — were asked if the origins of the fungus that has spread across Earth would be explored more. According to Druckmann, while the original game didn’t go too far into what had happened, Mazin was curious about what happened, and the show will likely dive into more of what happened.

“Everything we saw in the game was from three characters’ perspective — [Joel’s daughter] Sarah, Joel and Ellie, that’s it,” said Druckmann. “Here, we have the ability leave those characters and show some other stuff, but it was always important to never say, “OK, here is patient zero, the exact origin.” A lot of it is based on hints. Craig would come to me with his millions of questions, like “How did this thing spread?” We had one hint in the game, in the newspaper you pick up as Sarah, where it implies that there were contaminated products. We talked about: How would this spread? Where would it start? We’re revealing more and more from the first episode, where we gave hints of things that would have turned out very different for the Millers had they made those pancakes. Now, we get to see a bit more of how this thing started.”

Speaking of the pancakes, the duo was then asked about a very popular theory that popped up following the first episode. The theory stated that it was actually flour that caused the fungus to spread, and used different clues from the first episode to deduce that. When asked, both Druckmann and Mazin confirmed the theory, with Mazin noting “I think it’s pretty explicit” while Druckmann said “we pretty much said yes,” before Mazin explained the origins a bit more.

“When she talks about where these people worked and what was going on in that factory — yeah, it’s pretty clear that’s what’s going on,” Mazin said. “We liked the idea of that science, and we try as best we can to make sure that our research all connects. [The mycologist] asks where it happened, and the guy says a flour factory on the west side of the city. We are absolutely talking about — there is the world’s largest flour mill in Jakarta — so that’s a fine theory and I think people should keep running with it.”

The Last of Us is now streaming on HBO Max, and airs every Sunday on HBO.
